Condo on the other hand have strong pressure bcoz the water tank is like 5-10 floors above your unit (depending which floor u r at), so the gravity pressure is strong and you will have strong water pressure.
*
condo/ apartment normally have PRV ( pressure reducing valve) to control the pressure @ +-50 psi.
but if your house @ top floor, u'll need pump too biggrin.gif

QUOTE(ray01 @ Mar 14 2012, 09:01 PM)
I am using the Grundfos PC model, without the accumulator tank. The pump is sure vv powerful to 4 Bath. Just want to ask. How do I reduce the water hamering when the pump cut in/out. worried if the ABS piping leak. Can I install the accumulator tank (From PT) on my  PC model pump to reduce the intial pressure? Too frequent pump on/off, even if I open the tap. Hope you can advise me how to modify if can help to reduce the sudden pressure surge.
*
Adding a tank from pt model won't reduce the pressue but it definitely reduce the motor frequently start stop.

The hammering occur normally due to your piping not secure/fix, the abs pipe vibrate when the pump start, stop. Try add more bracket to hold the pipes ...

QUOTE(zheilwane @ Mar 14 2012, 11:14 PM)
Yes you can modify and add a tank, saw ppl doing that but if u modify it, the warranty might void. If ur pipe can last 1 week without problem, it should give u any problem in the future.
*
Nothing will affect the warranty as the tank can be install away from the pump, just modify the out going main pipe after the pump with tee and add a stopcock before connect to the tank.

I thought the additional tank is to be connected after the pump and not from main pipe???
*
yup, my statement a bit confusing...

The additional tank shall connect to the out going main pipe after the pump, NOT the supply main

anyway, i edited my last post tongue.gif

I have no video and manual.

It is simple. Look at this pic. Just like pumping car/bicycle tire except that you have to use a (tyre) air pressure guage to check the pressure of the air inside after filling.

Actually you can take the whole tank out after shutting the water supply and take it to petrol station to fill the air and then put back. That is much much work and make sure no leaking at the water inlet.

thumbup.gif thumbup.gif haha.. that is why i said put a stopcock before connect to the tank, i pump the air at petrol station whistling.gif whistling.gif

Talk about pump...

My Bidet hose burst :|

Power come high maintenance.
*
very common problem if use pressure pump, i found the bidet from DOE which come with black color flex. hose can stand high pressure, have this in my old man house with constantly +-50psi for few years still not fail thumbup.gif thumbup.gif those nice chrome color bidet will fail in few months doh.gif

But having such high pressure @ bidet is going to hurt your ASSSH sweat.gif sweat.gif

The kitchen water supply is a problem when I want to use pump. Left this out without the pump, the kitchen side will have low pressure.
*
Tot u were talking about the auto bypass @ the pump then i presume your incoming pressure should be good enough for your kitchen tap hmm.gif hmm.gif else your use a mixer in kitchen lor, cold water from main, hot water from pump wink.gif

The main pipe pressure is not high. So thaught of every tap go through the pump to have good pressure. But the pump water is from the tank and not the main pipe.

Stevie8 advise not good and bacteria problem. So that would left the kicthen tap low pressure from the main.

The pump is for cold water and not hot water.
*
Since your main pressure not high, your solar heater/ water heater must connect to pump lar, else mana ada shok when taking shower..

Hi All,

Sorry for tapping on Grundfos water pump thread.

I'll like to find out, anyone has experience with Panasonic Water booster pump.

Example A130 JXC and A130 JTX

What is the different between the 2 model?

I was being quote JXC @ RM350 and JTX @ RM400

plumber is charging me RM400 for workmanship to install the pump and addition piping for double story semi d. Is the charging reasonable?
*
cheap pump, small flow rate , frequent start stop quite annoying.

if Rm400 for installation only= expensive,

additional piping for the pump installation or @ other area?

RM400 installation is expensive? I tot Zean also mentioned it's around that price? tongue.gif

I also got RM400 water pump installation with direct water bypass after I show my plumber the installation diagram I got from Zean. Before this he quoted me RM300.
*
rm400 to install the pump only is expensive, imagine just cut off the main pipe from water tank, connect to pump inlet and outlet with few fitting tongue.gif tongue.gif

zean's diagram include additional non return valve / by pass, rm400 is reasaonale

So the pumping rate should be liter perminute. Is there a guide average how many liter perminute should the pump deliver?

Let say a shower bath, how many l/min can I get a nice bath?
*
shower head flow normally <10L/m, rain shower 9-14 L/m, eco friendly/ save water type <= 9L/m
