I am renovating my sub-sale Double storey house. Just changed the poly to ss tank on the roof. Need you advise should I install the pump at the water meter -ground floor or at the Tank outlet so that the shower press at top floor would be good and the whole house piping press good. Which model do you suggest and price. Have 3 bath at top and 1 at groundfloor. How the pump cut in and out. If it runs all the time, worry the pvc pipe might leak. Thank You. Can PM for confidential price.

QUOTE(zheilwane @ Nov 22 2011, 10:52 PM) did u purchase the PT series? I am using the Grundfos PC model, without the accumulator tank. The pump is sure vv powerful to 4 Bath. Just want to ask. How do I reduce the water hamering when the pump cut in/out. worried if the ABS piping leak. Can I install the accumulator tank (From PT) on my PC model pump to reduce the intial pressure? Too frequent pump on/off, even if I open the tap. Hope you can advise me how to modify if can help to reduce the sudden pressure surge.

Thanks guys for the positive feedback. A UNI E would be more suitable, but my PC pump is only 3 months old. Rather than spending more on a new pump, I would like improve the system by adding in the accumulator tank on the pump discharge line. On the tank it is stated 1.9 bar air. Does anyone know what is the pump press?

I read a forum (UK)about accumulator. Someone suggest to extend the air filling nozzle to acccesible level or relocte the tank to lower level since the Hidraulic pressue in the line is same at all point - for easy maintenance. Only problem is I can find the connection for the air nozzle. Info- Just checked the pump pressure rating is 6-10 bar for CH-50PC model. Maybe Zhielwane can help source for the nozzle?
