Recommendation required for Grundfos pump for 6 bathrooms with rain shower and 2 garden taps. Not all bathrooms used at the same time. Presently using model CH4-40PT. Is CM5-4 suitable? Can use with PM2 together with Pressure Tank? My Pressure Tank recently replaced with new. Intend to reuse tank if possible. How much it cost ie pump with PM2.

QUOTE(zheilwane @ Jun 3 2020, 10:44 PM) no point to get PM2, PM1 is good enough as PM2 is hard to set and reset. wan more advance pump. UNI E CM 5-4 since u r using CH4-40pt then CM5-4 is sufficient unless u feel it is not powerfull enough then CM5-5. UNI is the best series under groundfso u think shop can sell UNI E CM 5-4 without pressure tank? i oredi just bought a new 18l tank

Is it advisable to use copper pipe with brass compression fittings for CM5-4PM1 outlet to supply to bathrooms? Can the compression fittings take the pump pressure? Is it suitable if the pipe runs exposed on the outside wall? I don't see this being done in Malaysia. I'm forced to run the pipe on the outside wall exposed to sun and rain and I wanted something that can withstand the sun, rain and pump pressure.

QUOTE(Relaxing work @ Aug 27 2020, 10:32 AM) If I may comment: From pump to the piping, maybe it is better to use flexible hose, long term vibrations from the pump might cause the rigid pipe to stress and break. can show picture of flexible hose? can stand pump pressure? how to specify when buying? how long must hose be from the pump to join to say pvc pipe to reduce vibration? use what sort of clips to join? gotta use adaptor at pump outlet & also at pvc pipe? hose easily available from usual hardware shop?

QUOTE(turion64 @ Jan 6 2021, 01:36 PM) I'm using CM3-5PM1 and installed it at the roof area which is just above my master room. for me the noise is quite ok. it sounded like someone started their car engine when i'm in the room. u can hear it but its not that distracting. I'm using Uni-E CM5-4. I can hear the humming noise when I'm standing below the roof concrete slab where the pump is installed. I don't hear this humming noise when I'm at the roof area. Just wondering whether there's a logical explanation to this humming noise.
