Hi All,

Sorry for tapping on Grundfos water pump thread.

I'll like to find out, anyone has experience with Panasonic Water booster pump.

Example A130 JXC and A130 JTX

What is the different between the 2 model?

I was being quote JXC @ RM350 and JTX @ RM400

plumber is charging me RM400 for workmanship to install the pump and addition piping for double story semi d. Is the charging reasonable?

cheap pump, small flow rate , frequent start stop quite annoying.

if Rm400 for installation only= expensive,

additional piping for the pump installation or @ other area?

Hi skng03,

Thanks for your prompt replied, according to the plumber, he'll be doing a direct pipe to master's room toilet, and addition pipe to the water storage tank on the roof (believe to fill up the storage tank water as fast as possible). other then that i'll to get him to install an additional tap at the back of the house.

I'm also considering Hitachi pump as well, being offer for RM700, but i do not know whether if it is 100gp or 180gp series. The seller is from JB Hardware provision store, he can do postage for rm30. But the issue is im from Klang, can't find dealer dealing with Hitachi pump other than Panasonic which is located in meru.

Anyone got any shop to recommend me for the above brand pump or reliable plumper that doesn't charge an arm or leg.

Thank you

RM400 installation is expensive? I tot Zean also mentioned it's around that price? tongue.gif

I also got RM400 water pump installation with direct water bypass after I show my plumber the installation diagram I got from Zean. Before this he quoted me RM300.

These pumps are cheap and durable. But as it is the continueous on/off of the pump is too noisy to have it in the house. When it cannot be installed in the house due to the noise you cannot have it on the roof but outside the house. That means the pressure from ground to the roof is lost especially so it it is double storey.

Unlike Grundfos pump you can install on the roof/celing. The pressure from top to the bathroom is not lost but even stronger as it comes down with gravity assist. When pumps are installed at ground it loses its head/pressure due to height/gravity.

When choosing a pump, you have to know what you want it for? What is the objective, what you want to achieve? You got semi-d 2 storey you should go for high range pump, not because cheap pumps are not good, because you can afford for luxury. Drive expensive car with re-treaded tires?

The plumbling charge is reasonably cheap for double story semi-d.

Dear stevie8,

Appreciated your detail explanation, i though of the noise issue, thus i am planning to set up the pump around garage, as much as i would like to own a grunfos pump, my budget doesn't allow me to stretch deep enough.

Thanks

You can get Hitachi water pump in Klang too, so far the nearest I got is few hardware shops around Econsave Jalan Kebun, Klang.

The installation diagram of Grundfos water pump with water bypass. You can get the same as well in Hitachi water pump brochure.  smile.gif

Hi,

Regards to Hitachi pump, i was being inform that 180gx model has been replace by 150gx, 200 till 250gx.

the 180gx is a constant automatic water pump, the rest are normal water pump.

will like to know what is the side bladder tank for? what is the purpose of it? better to get 1 unit comes with bladder tank and which is more easier to maintain (bladder and non bladder tank)

Thanks!
