a friend of mine told me that even if sony decides to launch a ICS upgrade for the xperia go... i should not go and upgrade it unless there is no choice as it will massively slow down the phone as it only has 512MB of memory...
what does he means by slow down? like apps open slow or it crashes? i read from the net that there are quite some users are dissatisfied with the android 4 upgrades as most reported slowness and lagginess.. wondering if it's hardware related or just over-expectations?
what effect does it have in general.. worst case scenarios.. i don't expect to install a lot of nonsensical apps.. especially not games.. only productive apps for work and they told me even that is not enough as Sony by default puts in a lot of their own apps that is already taking up previous memory space and you can't remove them off unless you find a way to root it..
care to enlighten me a bit on the subject?
Nope . Go have 2gb dedicated for apps . Can install Hundred of apps .
All manufacturers put their own apps inside . Those which un delete able on Sony is 5. Include n
Qr reader , liveware , power saver , setup guide and recommended software .
Ur fren probably never use a go before and commet from rumour or his imagination . I have a xperia s and nexus so I know what is extra there . Even nexus have setupup guide also that use for setting for first boot .
If you really not comfortable , might ad well consider s advance which have 768 ram .
