To send email messages, complete the following steps:
- Click New message.
- Type the recipient’s email address or type multiple addresses in the To field.
- If you want to use the cc or bcc fields, click the link at the right of the field and the additional address field opens (you must have at least one email address in the To field).
- Click the Send button to send your message, or click the Save draft button to save the message to your Drafts folder. This allows you to finish and send the message later.
Using Ovi Mail on my S60 device, why do I get a “No data” error when I try to create a new email, reply to an email, or move an email within one of my folders.

If you are trying to act upon the email that is in a non-standard folder (not Inbox, Drafts, or Sent), you will receive this “No data” error. In this case, you need to manually synchronize the folder by selecting Options -> Synchronise.
My Ovi Mail account is empty, have you lost my emails?

No, the emails that you received prior to the Ovi Mail move to Yahoo! are safe. You do not see all of them yet because they are in the process of being moved to your updated Ovi Mail account. You will see your emails in your inbox once the move is complete. During this process, you can still send and receive new emails.
How many attachments are supported in a single outgoing email within my Ovi Mail account?

The maximum number of attachments that can be sent in one outgoing email is 10.
What should I do if I reach my mail storage quota on my Ovi Mail account?

To free up storage space for your mailbox, delete any unnecessary email messages and empty your Trash and Spam folders. Also note that attachments can take up a lot of space. If you have a lot of email with large attachments, consider storing the attachments elsewhere, and then delete the email message.
How do I add a contact to my Ovi Mail address book??

To add a new contact, complete the following steps.
- Click the Address book link.
- Click the New contact link.
- Complete the form with your contact’s personal information.
- Click Save to add the contact to your Address book.
You can also add a contact to your Address book after you have sent the person an email.
For each email address that is not already in your Address book, you are prompted to add a first and last name. Add them to your Address book by clicking Add to contact.
If the name you provide matches one already stored in your Address book you will be asked whether you want to add the current email address to the existing record or create a new Address book entry with the same name.
You can uncheck the box for any address you do not wish to add to your Address book. You can also click the Skip button to continue without adding any of the addresses to your Address book.
You may add up to a total of 500 contacts to your Address book.
How do I send an attachment in an Ovi Mail message?

To attach a file to your email, complete the following steps.
- Click the Browse button located next to the Attach label. Result: A window opens allowing you to look for a file on your computer.
- Locate and select the file on your computer, and then click Open . Result: The file is listed in the window below the Attach button.
- If you have another file to attach, repeat steps 1 and 2. Note: To remove an attachment, click Remove next the attachment you want to remove.
In the low bandwidth version, at step 2, you will first get a window with 5 blank spaces and separate browse buttons. When you have selected all the attachments you want, click the Attach button to return to the Compose window to complete your email.
To remove an attachment using the low bandwidth version, uncheck the check box next to the attachment.
Can I restore a message that I have deleted within Ovi Mail?

Deleted messages are initially stored in the Trash folder. If you want to view or restore a message that you have deleted, complete the following steps.
- Select the Trash folder.
- Check the check box associated with the message you want to restore.
- Click the More actions list, and then select the folder you want to move the message to from the drop down list.
Result: The message is moved to the selected folder.
Why isn't my Ovi Mail mailbox synchronizing with Nokia Messaging Service?

If you have the Nokia Messaging client installed on your device and you add your Ovi Mail mailbox but are not receiving emails, this may be due to a problem with the Nokia Messaging client. You will not recieve new or old emails for your Ovi Mail account on your device.
To fix this issue, upgrade your Nokia Messaging client to the latest version at
http://email.nokia.com.
Should I always logout of my Ovi Mail account when I am finished?

It is recommended that you always log out at the end of each session. This is especially important if you are using a shared computer. If you do not log out, it is possible for others to view your email messages by using the browser’s Back button.
To logout of your session, click the Sign out link at the top of the screen. This ends your email session and prevents others from accessing your email account.
For added security, you should also close the browser after you log out to make sure that all session specific information is cleared from the browser's cache.
How do I delete a message within Ovi Mail?

To delete a message from your Inbox, check the message’s associated check box, and then click Delete . Similarly you can select multiple messages and delete them all at once.
You can also move messages to the Trash folder using the More actions menu or by using drag and drop.
Deleted messages are moved to the Trash folder and still count toward your mail storage quota. Empty the trash regularly to permanently delete messages.
How do I delete my Ovi account?

Nokia cannot delete Ovi accounts. Only the owner of the account can delete their account by performing the following:
- Open a web browser to
http://www.ovi.com- Sign in to your Ovi account
- Once signed in, select the Account link at the top of the page
- Select Continue with account termination under Terminate account
- Enter your Ovi password and select Close account
All your Ovi accounts will now be deleted from the system. All your files will be deleted from the system and cannot be restored. Once your account has been terminated, your Ovi user name will be locked within the system at least for 6 months and no one will be able to sign up with the username. The termination is irreversible and the username is lost.
How can I remove all my personal data from my Nokia account or terminate the account?

Nokia cannot delete your Nokia accounts. Only the owner of the account can delete their account by performing the following:
- Sign in and go to the Nokia account management page (https://account.nokia.com).
- Select Continue with account termination.
- Enter your password, and select Close account.
By terminating a Nokia account, your account and personal data are deleted from all OVI services where they are used. Also, some of your service-specific data and all unused credits will be lost.
