D5100 same sensor as D7000 right? I remember previously some website was comparing D7000 against the D700, D3s and D300s. At 25600 D7000 has the best output (even better than the mighty D3s). Hmm.
*
gosh ... this means the D7000 has better iso capabilities than the D700 ???

If a 16.2MP crop sensor can do this, a 16.2MP FX sensor will do it much better biggrin.gif. Getting really interesting! Imagine if you are able to shoot at 12800 like what FX users are doing with 3200 iso now tongue.gif.
*
yeah ... just imagine the iso capabilities of the D800 when announced ... drool.gif

UV gives no difference in term of outcome.
cheapo filter with you worse IQ, increase the amount of flare etc etc..
expensive UV filter just nice give you no reduction of IQ.

since I am poor kid  unsure.gif I can't afford paying for rm 200++ for no IQ reduction.

it's gonna be difference case if compared to CPL, ND and the other type of filters which will give different outcome.
*
all use so good filters for their lenses ... i only use Hoya HMC UV for my Nikkor 16-85, Tokina 11-16 & Sigmalux ... sweat.gif
