If upgrading to FX, don't get the 1755. I wanted the 1755 like you back then, but I stick to 1635 f/4 knowing I can use it on FX.
I would pay for it! It's f/1.2! Faster than my 85mm. If it is cute small lens like the f/1.2 AiS its gonna be on my camera most of the time haha.

Entry bodies refers to D3100, D5100 type... A230 is one of them as well.

if a very nice looking girls give you D3s with 35mm f/1.8 attached, B+W filter and pass to you and ask you shoot potrait for them.... what you should choose?

1) Run away with D3s then use it yourself
2) Shoot
3) Others...

@andy, if i wan sharper subject picture i need to make aperture smaller?

i was using 35mm f/1.8. and the subject is gundam 1/144 RG grade... 
but i duwan step back because i wan whole gundam in my frame/ composition 

so how ar?

Decrease clarity then you can have instant facial for them.
But now seldom use this technique anymore, who ask them dowan to make up properly??? Blame the models.
