U are right, why regret when I have 85 f/1.4g? .. anyway the 50mm was not that suitable for my usage on FX, that's why I sold it, might be getting it back in the future

1.2G sure cost a lot ( I think over 5k just like the Canon 50mm F/1.2L )

That would be great , won't mind to input for those lenses that I have used before

They should make the body carbon fibre so that it can be lighter, wonder why the canon 5dmark II feels so damn light ( but not so solid lar, even d300s feels more solid than that )

Lol 16-35 is a wide angle lens lah, if u can't stand the wide why buy it at first place? Later sell again

Added on April 8, 2011, 6:44 pmU looking for bokeh then u should get 24mm f/1.4 . Not problem using 85mm daylight at all, maybe D700 highest shutter speed is 1/8000s compared to 1/4000s for D90

If wideopen definitely 85 1.4g sharper

I only speak base on experience lol, if they think 135mm F/2DC is as sharp as 85 f/1.4g ( wideopen )feel free to post sample pics

Just get the 14-24 if u dun mind the weight, the price as well as the inability to use filter.. It's sharper than 16-35

No wonder u ask me bring telephotos to travel la, D700+BG+70-200 very big weight diff compared to D7000+BG+70-300vr ( At least also 1kg , cos d700+BG+70-200 already almost 3kg ).. maybe u should borrow me your 70-300vr when i go for travel next time
