i roughly compared my both lcd, office and home LCD, office one of course sucks because i go to http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/white.php i saw "200" only meanwhile my personal can see 8 levels of white saturation. 

now back to the camera LCD, found out the colour is a bit contrast/ saturation compare to my monitor. so should i adjust my camera LCD to -2? default is 0.

wah - that's bad.

I'm using Dell 2007WFP - S-IPS panel and calibrated with Spyder3Express - even at 254 can see very slight shade difference.

monitor helps the output a lot.

I remember back when I was doing web site maintenance for a particular college. I tell you, vomit blood. I adjust picture nicely already they come say too dark la this la that la. I go over and see their monitor. their WHITE was GRAY!!!! so you can imagine la their maroon, dark blue and dark brown are all practically black.

up to you. for me, I'm doing web design / graphic design / photography.

as you can see, all areas place importance on colors.

some work are send for print - with calibration done, at least I have less avenue of problem........... or at least prints cannot blame me for anything.
hehe yeah. kena before, my was opposite. design nicely liao no problem but cos client computer using lesser LCD quality, end up can see weird coloration on certain shades.

it's good to fine-tune as best as you can for monitor. even TN panel is fine la, just tune them.

yeah. a lot of my photos, imagine shooting black product on white background. sure the histogram going to be U shaped.

i find it sufficient. decide based on your monitor vs cost vs importance of color accuracy to you.

How much is the Spyder3 Express? It's Rm370 at my hometown

nikon kit lens with 18-135? nikon got 18-135? are u using canon kit lens?

any sifus can explain what is vivid mode for? i always use standard 

so normally u all use the vivid for landscape? saturation +3 in the camera for landscape?

i tot vivid is to add saturation tot the photo. how come u -2 saturation again?
