I was trying to update the 3GS (Carrier-locked) to 4.3.1 but I didn't know that it was carrier locked (Was doing it for a friend). After updating it, I'm now stuck with the 'iTunes logo' and 'slide for emergency call' part. What should I do now?

QUOTE(DE.si.MON @ Apr 16 2011, 07:58 AM) Nothng can be done, is either you use ipad baseband or use as expensive ipod touch.
Last resort cutyoursim.com (at your own risk), permenant unlock at usf169 The problem now is I'm stuck at the 'connect to iTunes' and 'slide for emergency call' part. How do I get out of that part at least? Do I just jb it as normal to at least get it to the home page?

QUOTE(iPlx @ Apr 16 2011, 12:27 PM) Yea you can use redsnow to hacktivate it and jailbreak. then proceed i ipad baseband. Thanks! Is it safe to use the iPad baseband on the iPhone? For some reason, I always have problems jailbreaking iPhones but no problems on the iPod Touch or iPad.

If I were to cook a custom firmware with the iPad baseband using Sn0wbreeze and put it to the iPhone 3GS, is it possible to get it back to the original baseband? I've tried googling it but I don't really get what they're saying.

QUOTE(jacklsw86 @ Jul 22 2011, 01:39 PM) oh man. my iphone got stuck when it asked me to restart springboard when i dl and installed insomnia. it has been showing the spiralling loading icon for an hour already. what should i do? Added on July 22, 2011, 1:41 pmnvm i figured out the method to force shut down the phone, pressing power and home button together and hold them till it shuts off. I'm experiencing the same problem too but even after hard resetting, it's still spiralling. Is there anyway to settle this apart from restoring and rejailbreaking it again? EDIT: I'm running on 4.3.3 and trying to restore back to 4.3.3 despite 4.3.4 being available. Can I NOT update to 4.3.4? This post has been edited by SherM: Jul 24 2011, 12:42 AM

QUOTE(azraeil @ Jul 24 2011, 12:54 AM) Wait, are you trying to restore to 4.3.3 or update to 4.3.4? On 4.3.3, trying to restore to 4.3.3. Sorry for not being clear.

QUOTE(azraeil @ Jul 24 2011, 01:13 AM) You can't simply restore to 4.3.3 as Apple no longer signs that firmware. You need to have your 4.3.3 SHSH ready and to either use tinyumbrella or point your host file to cydia for it to work. Problem is, I can't even boot it up so how do I get the SHSH?
