 Belden speaker wires

Any feedback on Belden speaker wires. My contractor put a 24AWG wire.....thought too thin, suggested 18 or 16 but what would be the estimated price per metre?

The size will depend how long you're gonna run your wire. You can check out the recommendation here
You can try checking out the sales thread here. They have the price of 12AWG there.

I am using Belden 1311A for my surround as well as Front Wide. One thing to note though, it is quite bright. If you match it with a bright speakers, then trouble. Bass is quite impressive nonetheless.
