Following the thread title, I was wondering if it's possible to play PAL games on Malaysian Xbox 360? Aksys Games' online store had a sale on Continuum Shift Limited Edition, and I thought the deal was pretty sweet, but was wondering if my console can run it?

it depends, some PAL games are region free, hence can be played on Asian console

best way to check if the game are compatible with asian console is to go to play-asia.com to check out their list, just search for the games there, and usually they'll tell you if it's compatible or not.

Play-asia.com don't have PAL compatibility list, since they don't deal with PAL games

There's no guide for PAL games there, only JP/US games compatibility with PAL consoles, not the other way round as asked

Checked the PlayAsia site, yeah I can't find UK in the list given. I checked my console's box, and in a small corner at the back I can see NTSC-J. So I did a deeper Google search and found this site:

Seems like it's a no-no then. Ah well, I might still buy it just to obtain the Limited Edition goodies.

Then, if I order the PAL version which comes with the Limited Edition DLC, can I use it in the NTSC version?

its relly hard to find PAL games in malaysia
my consol is PAL from UK
and am downloading pal games for normal play
and buying orginal games to play online
from ebay or any other online store

but for hot games like black ops its come region free in the malaysian market
make region free games your first option
