sorry, i'm very new for this
i only have one child, if register SSPN, either father & mother can register with the SSPN?
or both can register separate of it? if can separate, means tax relief can get 6K + 6K?

Erm, not something new.

I already did it in:-

Nov/Dec 2015 - Deposit 6k then withdraw in Jan 2016
Nov/Dec 2016 - Deposit 12k then withdraw in Jan 2017
Nov/Dec 2017 - Deposit 18k then withdraw in Feb 2018
*
QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Mar 7 2019, 11:38 AM)
Yes can separate can get 6k each. If separate tax filing.
BTW start this year is 8k
*
thanks, found the logic in previous post
let say if still is 6k tax relief
the 4th year need deposit 24k? 5th year if 32k?

You deposit 12k and withdraw 6k... why not just deposit 6k? Especially since 'same month'.

i have removed, found my calculation wrong, haha

When I share this sspn thing, that's what the first reaction from people. You guys are over thinking. Instead of procrastinating it, why don't worry and do it first year first? It's not like insurance, where you commit for 10 20 years. Do it in dec 2019, 8k take out in 2020 Jan. One month only. No 16k on Dec 2020? Fine. Ignore it. Bank in 8k in Dec 2021. Take out in Jan 2022.

One at a time.

Too much trouble for one time? Then don't bother. For me. That  effort even one time is worth more than 1k for me.
*
yup, overthinking
tomorrow roadshow in my office area, just open account first
once have an account, can top up for tax relief anytime biggrin.gif

Works... but why so troublesome ?
Every Dec 31st you still need to cough extra RM8k.
Whats the difference with putting RM8k each year ?

Not as if your RM8k can generate another RM8k out of thin air.
Or
Not as if your RM16k can generate another RM8k out of thin air.

QUOTE(driedfish @ Mar 12 2019, 09:24 AM)
this also i dun understand....

just leave the money there......so little also want to calculate this and that

its for your kids.... just leave it
*
just put money less than one month, then you can get tax relief 8k, which can save RM1920 (if you salary range under 100K~250K)
withdraw the money put in ASNB for 6%

then at of the year Dec put back RM8k (new fund)+ RM8k (fund taken out in earlier of the year)
then next year Jan withdraw all RM 16k put into ASNB FP.....withdraw from ASNB FP in DEC put back RM8k + RM16k
Repeat....adding RM8k each year DEC
hmm.gif then I will come in a point of time that the amount of units available to buy will be insufficient with the money taken out of SSPN to reap the full 6%pa
*
ASNB dividend is prorated by month, 1~2 months dividend won't give you as high as RM1900, so SSPN still good for tax relief, and ASNB still good for long term
for available units, yes, may depend luck, but i think not so hard to get 100k in one week, people sell & buy day by day

you can rest 1 year after 1~4 years continuing tax relief, depend how strong of your cash flow
example

dec 2019 - deposit 8k (tax relief 8k)
jan 2020 - withdraw 8k
dec 2020 - deposit 16k (tax relief 8k)
jan 2021 - withdraw 16k
rest........
dec 2022 - deposit 8k (tax relief 8k)
jan 2023 - withdraw 8k
dec 2023 - deposit 16k (tax relief 8k)
jan 2024 - withdraw 16k
rest........

Not sure if this was asked, but let's say last year i bank in RM6k for my 1 child.

Then this year i plan to do so at RM8k since that's the max.

By next year 2020, i would have rm14k in my children's account.

May i know if i can withdraw out all Rm14k in maybe 1st half of 2020?

then by end of 2020 only i bank in between RM6k-8k.

Am i still entitled for the tax refund up to rm6k-8k?
*
2019
opening 6k
closing 14k
closing - opening = 8k
YES, you can enjoy the tax relief

2020, you can withdrawm but still calculate the year opening & closing
opening 14k
withdraw 8k
deposit 8k
closing still is 14k
closing - opening = 0
NO, you cannot enjoy tax relief

managed to open BSA without annual fee from Bank Islam. Was told got one time RM12 debit card fee, but yet to see it.

link it to ATM by inserting IC and SSPN number, and voila. transferred some of it to my BSA with charge of RM0.50.
*
means per transaction charge RM0.50?
how you link to SSPN? by ATM machine?

I also same like you, open a basic account today. I manually linked my SSPN-I via ATM. But after i login to the account page, I could not find any account or details that linked with my SSPN-I account. Had you check yours? Or how to check in online?
*
