Dividend is reflected a few days later, after that announcement.

Diversification is key. It's better or matching FD rates. Unless you believe you should put all your eggs in the high risk high reward basket. Of course it's also stupid to put all your funds in SSPN, but this is only 6k a year.
Can, but the amount you put back must be 6k more than what the amount was on Jan 1st.

So if you do the following:-

Dec 31 2012 - Deposit 6k (qualify for tax deduction 2012)
Jan 1 2013 - withdraw 6k (takes a few weeks though)
Dec 31 2013 - Deposit 12k (qualify 6k for tax deduction 2013)
Jan 1 2014 - withdraw 12k
Dec 31 2014 - Deposit 18k ..... etc.

Then you get the tax rebate, and the only loss to you is the lost interest of a few weeks of processing for withdrawal.

Newbie here...invested RM6k last year into SSPN-i, purpose to reduce personal tax. Is SSPN and SSPN-i same product and I can withdraw the RM6k?

I think SSPN-i is insurance, so no can't withdraw. Don't you read the T&C before buying? For most of us SSPN-i got no point as EPF already maxed out.

Isn't SSPN a separate tax relief from insurance?

edit: typo

SSPN-i it's a saving for your children and qualifies for tax relief if you have net savings on that year of assessment.

SSPN-i Plus it's an insurance product + savings.

To your question, yes, SSPN-i savings for your children does qualify for SSPN tax relief.

You can print out the tax relief statement from the website when you login into it.

Sure? Last round when I was there I was told it applies to the insurance category not the SSPN category for tax relief.

That covers SSPN savings. SSPN-i is a new product, and hasil's website doesn't specifically mention it. SSPN's own advertising says RM12k deduction but Hasil says 6k for net SSPN savings, hence the additional 6k comes from where? The only other 6k is life insurance/KWSP...

SSPN-i Plus is a new product (insurance cum savings)

SSPN-i it's the one we put in for SSPN tax relief.

Maybe you should read again.

Ah gosh just found this post. I missed the boat of rm6k tax relief. 😭. Luckily still got 2017 to claim. So if i open an sspn account from bank at dec 2017, then when can I print the the tax relief statement?. Plan to print it out then withdraw.
