QUOTE(astina18 @ May 13 2011, 04:30 AM) Sony all the way~ Some like lady like Lady Gaga (vivid color) and some like natural beauty (without make up) so you can't say which is better because it's a personal preference. Those who pick Plasma tends to like natural instead of vivid. Personally, I find Sony's color too vivid to the point of unnatural, for example, I can never find red color flower like the one shown on Sony.40 inch BX420 Series Full HD BRAVIA LCD TV The 40" BX420 Series delivers all-round entertainment and enjoyment in any living space. * Full HD 1080 picture quality with CCFL backlight * Live Colour™ Technology with Advanced Contrast Enhancer * BRAVIA Sync * XrossMediaBar (XMB™) Menu System * USB Play (Video, Music, Photo) * Intelligent Picture Plus RM1900. I'm using 40BX400 which bought it at Jusco last yr during member day for only 2299 with RM200 cash voucher, really nice TV no regret for choosing it over LG/Sharp/Samsung/Pany at that time~ BTW, my mom keep on saying my 40BX400's color looks better than my dad's Samsung and LG plasma~ Have a chance to try out the LG LED backlight LCD tv couple week ago at my friend's house, IMHO I think it's a bit too bright and making my eyes easily tired. I guess for LED TVs, gotta adjust the picture and brightness lower to protect our eyes... On tired eyes. Plasma is without doubt the most gentle on the eyes and LED the worst. 1 thing make me don't like plasma is it freaking HOT due to high power consumption...... i dont have an air cond room for that...
LCD still ok... and LED is the best (but still need to find metal back cover instead of plastic back cover).......... |

have u made ur decision mutt? i have been following and doing research myself.
so far, at first i wanted LG 42LD460, looks very cool, price (RM1650) very cheap but not selling anymore. then i came upon toshiba 40CV700e, (RM1638) and was tempted with the warranty and insurance promo. but suddenly i stumbled upon samsung lcd LA40D550, although a bit more pricey (RM1888), but it has a lot function i like especially all-share for my galaxy s. but now, i'm considering for samsung led UA40D5000, cheapest i got was (RM2499). I am really really confused now... whatever it is i have decided on samsung but dunno led or lcd...gonna get it this weekend cos cannot tahan anymore... |

RM 1,888 with 5% installment charge included in it. so if wanna buy with cash can get around RM1,798 like that. u guys shud check this model out cos it's quite good for the price. on performance wise i cant really comment cos i dont have led tv beside my lcd to compare with in my room. |

Still havent buying yet. Gonna move in to new house about next 2 weeks. Have decide going for LED tv with RM2500 budget. No Samsung and LG since the reliability is questionable. Yesterday I went to OnKing. They got promo for Toshiba 42" LED tv. Not sure what model. The promo price was RM2580 and it was end yesterday. Almost bought it but I still have 2 weeks to move in so dont wanna make a rush decision. The taukeh there also said perhaps there will be another promotion for LED tv on June.
I see a lot of people praise Plasma. But my personal taste, I'm towards LED. |
