QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Apr 12 2011, 04:00 PM) 1k km.. Up to u if u want to bring ur own lube.. DOnt use Shell Helix HX7. I would recomment Castrol magnatec. Oh mine is above 1km already. How much is the Castrol magnatec lube and where can i get it from? any petrol stations? if the lube is provided in CoSE, you know what lube they use and how much for it if inclusive of their lube?No need magnatrap, X1-R treatment, what ever treatment.. Bill total around RM115 only including lube.. just need to change oil filter, gasket only. If ur mileage is below 1k km, ask then for free balancing and alignment service. |

QUOTE(xandras @ Apr 12 2011, 04:17 PM) Castrol Magnatec cannot be found at Petrol stations la.. BP closed down long ago d.. Ok from my understanding, that means if i bring my own lube for the 1st service, i wouldnt need to pay anything to CoSE? unless i use the lube provided by them then only i will need to pay around rm120 ?CoSE offers Shell Helix & Petronas Synthium. For Semi synthetic it's RM 105. |

QUOTE(xandras @ Apr 12 2011, 04:30 PM) U still need to pay, but only for oil gasket & drain plug, which should cost RM 15.55. Is this ur 1K KM service? If yes, then u should still have a voucher from ur SA that can be used to redeem a free oil gasket. If u don't have that voucher then u need to pay RM 15.55. Yup its my 1K KM service. So everything is still blurry and new to me Another thing the castrol magnatec is engine oil right? is there any more details to it like how many litres? i Googles and it shows 4L 10W-40. is this the correct 1? |

QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Apr 12 2011, 04:40 PM) Haiz me too lah.. I didnt know price going to increase ady. Now service due but no money to service car. Looks like i gotta go shop around for that oil. Some forummers mentioned in carefour got cheaper price. Any other supermarkets which offers a more competitive price? Everything is possible bro.. U just need to approach girls the right way.. Believe me? U can try read The Game by Neil Strauss.. Btw ur plugs is in some mat rempits hand now.. Yeah to reset ECU is that simple.. But i wouldnt recommend u to do so lah unless ur car got problem... Yeah its semi synthetic oil. Castrol Magnatec is 4L. Ur engine only requires 3.85L. grade is 10W-40.. After u use this oil for ur 1k service guarantee ur engine will feel very light and revvy.. Looking forward to service my car then after Zen mentioned engine will feel lighter Yea i noticed FC is quite high especially during Jam in KL I have been constantly changing gears to "N" each time i stop the car |

QUOTE(xandras @ Apr 12 2011, 05:05 PM) Btw just now PE's Lotus Handling saved my life Like Final Destination I was behind this 1 cement lorry near my housing area. The roads here are quite narrow. So this cement lorry takes up almost both the lanes. Then the lorry is turning right, and I'm going straight. Suddenly for no reason at all the lorry stopped right in the middle of the road, at the intersection. Because I'm going straight & the lorry is turning right, I accelerated a bit. When the lorry stopped, I swerved to the left. The road is so narrow that my tyres front & rear left tyres were 50-60% off the road. Then I pedal kaw kaw & launched my car out of that tight situation. I can see how close is the metal stairs step at the back of the cement lorry to my A-pillar. For a moment there it feels like matrix sia Stupid lorry stopped for no reason. Sikit lagi I kena the metal bar & that thing will confirm behead me. Maybe you can write a testimonial to Proton haha saying it saved your life |

QUOTE(ngeo88 @ Apr 12 2011, 05:21 PM) Or you cant go any of the spare parts shop or any service work shop to buy it, those shop with big Castrol advrtisement sure got but it is RM100.00 no nego lah.... Oh cool, will observe the RPM when im driving home later. So in a nutshell it's not necessary to engage N when ur car is stationed for awhile, just leave it at D?If you observe carefully when you shifted to N or P your rpm will ideling at slightly higer than you stop at D, when high rpm means consume more fuel. I'll look around at supermarkets first and see whether is it cheaper anot QUOTE(xandras @ Apr 12 2011, 05:22 PM) Erm.. Most of the engine oils are imported mah.. except for Petronas Synthium.. And 5 L engine oil does exist but we don't use it much here bcos most of our cars here are of low displacement.. Belilah Barangan Buatan Malaysia I support home made stuffs |

QUOTE(xandras @ Apr 12 2011, 05:35 PM) Not good to always 'masuk' & 'keluar' gear leh.. Point taken Eh I got no choice but to tekan ok.. Unless u all dun wanna see me at the next TT anymore lah.. Higher 1 grade as in? In traffic jams it's better not to keep switching between N & D. If u're going to stop for around 10-15 minutes then shift it to P or N, then it's ok.. Frequent shifting between D & N will cause very high wear on the gearbox.. Not good lah.. Gearbox not cheap also wei.. thanks for the explanation. I guess it benefited quite a no. of people who always "masuk' & 'keluar' gear |

QUOTE(frankgoh @ Apr 12 2011, 09:05 PM) how long did you guys get your persona after you all placing an order ?? i have been waiting for 1 month ++ but still no respond from the company i got mine after around 4 weeks from Mr Derrick haha. It was suppose to be much earlier but due to Proton have problem in transportation from the depot to the dealers. Apparently too many orders but too few trailers to deliver the cars Added on April 12, 2011, 9:24 pm QUOTE(xandras @ Apr 12 2011, 08:54 PM) The question is this; are u driving a Honda? well in that case, i think i would stick to the recommendation of castrol then another thing is i saw at the main page about ceramic brake pads. Is it advisable to get with a new car? or should i wait for later only change? notice the current brakes quite noisy each time i apply the brakes and the response not too good either like no energy on the brakes This post has been edited by pupumaru: Apr 12 2011, 09:24 PM |

Hmm, in the end got persuaded to buy ENEOS 5W-30 for RM 105
Reason being, the shopowner guaranteed me satisfactory experience, if not go back find him lol. He said he himself compared it with castrol and he says Eneos is better. So im gonna give it a shot, if not im gonna shoot him LOL By the way he is offering me RM 96 for Castrol Magnatec |
