the easiest way is to use mifi.. it cannot to laptops, and at the same time, it acts as wifi, so your android can connect to that wifi.

Laptop can broadcast a signal. so no. use MIFI or 3G router. I suggest u use G router which is much cheaper compare to MIFI.

You'll need the software to connect your phone to PC and create an Ad-Hoc connection from your PC.

To simplify it,
Phone ---> PC (Bluetooth/USB)
PC -------> Other PC (Adhoc;wireless card needed)

me too.
i tried connectify, but there isn't any option for Dial-up/VPN, which is Celcom 3G. there's an option for LAN & wifi...

but i tried sharing internet on my macbook pro, it works easily.
wonder why windows 7 can't.

i also tried create ad-hoc + my Celcom 3G shared enable. My mobile phone able to connect to my ad-hoc but can't connect to the internet.

any help? thanks.

You can also try to enable Internet Connection Sharing on that 3G connection/modem, after that set up wired or ad-hoc wireless connection to other laptops or phone to share Internet connection.

This is what i do in my Windows 7:

on my Celcom 3G ( HUAWEI ) 's properties > Sharing > enable ICS, choose Home networking connections for Wireless Network Connection.

create ad-hoc. setup without password / with password using WEP (since phones only support WEP)

done configuring it.

on my phones, open up my browser using my windows 7's ad-hoc... able to connect the ad-hoc.. but not the internet.

i check on the status of my connection at the icon's notification at the bottom right corner of the windows....

i'm connected to Celcom 3G (Internet Access) & my ad-hoc ( No Internet Access) .... this might be causing the problem?

but on my mac side there's no problem.

I have tried to use Connectify. It's not working, the internet option there does not contain any internet for me to choose. I'm on YES network
