there are ways to access Nintendo video in Malaysia ya know. But for those who hasn't tried it yet, you're not missing a lot tbh. Just some movie trailers and cartoons in 3D. It's limited to 4 videos at a time, so once a new video is available, the oldest video will be automatically replaced.

I use unblock-us.com. Yes there are some settings need to be done to your router. Its all explained in the website and as long as you're using common brands, I don't thing there'll be a problem. Try the one week trial first and see if it suits your needs.
