- SCB said they will call me within 5 working days to confirm the cancellation.
- DA said no letters will be sent out

Something to share. A CIMB staff (I believe from the card retention department) called to offer 7500 points to offset the GST. Only 75% because it is a gold card and upgrading is too much of a hassle. I didnt take the offer. I would have retained it if given full points to offset, for the Eraman discounts though, but my request was declined lol.

According to the CS, CIMB will send a notification letter upon the succesful termination of my card, which is good 

My SCB Business Visa Platinum has been cancelled without a single call from SCB to confirm. There goes my RM100 free cash to retain me.

I rather pay RM50 than to pay addtional RM300 or maybe more just to get that refund. They might issue other charges..
I can get better cash back with my UOB card than AMB.
2% cash back and is subject to minimum amount blocks is no good compared to UOB.

is it normal to have the credit card number in our records although we have cancelled it?

i have cancelled my PBB CC and the account is still there whenever i logon to internet banking to access my savings account

goin bank 2 service pc, the office force me to sign cimb credit card. i own a maybank card and i refuse it, but he keep pushing me and said try to fill , i told him my salary v low but he say he will adjust for me, he fill the form n ask me to sign and take my maybank card n ic to photocopy, can i call cimb card center to cancel my application before they charge me rm50 goverment tax?????????

I just realised my CIMB DA's anniversary is every year's 06.

Before they charge me again on the GST, can I cancel the card? I still have one more installment to pay, June is the final month. I can even pay the amount now and close everything.

If anyone has the similar encounter, please share or I'll call the CS soon.

Hi all, I just called citibank to cancel my credit card, according to CS, they won't provide any confirmation of cancellation in writting, but it will reflect in my next month statement? Is that the case? I'm just worried next month they would still charging me GST.

stupid rhb bank i apply for 1 CC they pos me 3 CC...since i just need use of 1 CC
the other 2 i never activate,and i wanna cancel it..so i just cut the card and post back to them??

i apply HP loan from rhb,and a bank person called me asked do i need a CC,since i dont have visa CC so i agree to have 1 visa CC,but they posted me 2 visa 1 master
i will enclose a formal letter with both cutted card and send to RHB..frens told me cancel like that
since i go branch nearer my area they say cant cancel becos that CC not apply at here

But if one did not cancel the cc in the last month and instead cancel it 2-3 months before the gst month, then you can use the 5000 points they offer, spend RM25 and then cancel it before paying for the gst.
That's what I did for my SC cc 

I submitted cancellation of all my SCB Platinum & Gold CCs via fax.... just retaining the Preferred World MasterCard.

I wonder whether the SCB Retention dept will call to offer me $$$
