Phblic bank credit card only can cancel by walk in to their branch??

What sort of changes if you do not use it frequently ?

Usually, will the CS give us promotion when we ask for termination of CC? Any bank will give promotion? Or they will just terminate it?

I'm holding a SCB CC with annual fee... i don't kind of trust to call in to cancel hence i walked in to SCB branch and cancelled the card. They terminate the card account and let me sign on a termination form where I read it as it had been terminated.

As I do not to call in and said terminate but later in the months, out of sudden, said I still owe them money... on annual fee that had been charged onto my card... afterall, even after the card had been terminated, no email nor SMS saying that my card had been terminated.

How to check by the way except for calling in to ask as their CS line also suck big time...

l received SCB official letter by mail when l called customer service to cancel my cards. I had to go thru many hassles as l had to wait for SCB to call me back to confirm the cancellation.

Banks are like that. Before when I have Direct Access and Citibank card, I ask to be upgraded and none of them is willing to give me the upgrade

Then I just decide to cancel the card when government comes out with the Rm50 tax I just go and cancel both the cards. Next week I get 2 plat cards on mail

Upgrade means Credit Limit? How you ask the upgrade? By Call? Will them ask you to resubmit everything like income doc?

Why after you cancel both cards, you still received new Plat Card? Without have to submit doc?

May I know when you ask for termination through phone, will them offer you special promo blablabla? or just terminate it after they call back to you?

I got those 2 cards when I first started to work, after few years I reached the income requirement and asked to be upgraded to Plat. I called CS to ask to be upgraded and they say no without asking me to submit proof of income.

Then I just went to the bank and cancel both the cards when government starts to charge the tax. Next week after I cancel I receive those cards on mail. Their system must have a record that I asked to be upgraded before and they send me the (plat) cards. I did not activate them and just chuck it aside.

Btw, which 2 cards you first got?

And what's the minimum income requirement for the new platinum cards you received? Which platinum card is it? Is it AirAsia-Citi Platinum Visa Credit Card and Citi Business Platinum Card?

SCB called me and offered free annual fee and cash reward of RM50 per card. I told them went ahead to cancel as l didn't want credit card with annual fees.

Mine to share which card you terminate? As I'm using Cash Back Master Card, but I think they waived/no annual fee/with condition (Forgot which one as so far I still not get any charge for AF)

I wanted to cancel my citi credit card through telephone last week and then the teller said wait 3 working days theyll call back..its been a week and no call from citibank and my card is still active..what should i do to terminate my card?

send an email to the bank. if still no action within your stipulated time, escalate it.

Noob question, if i am looking forward to either cancel the card or only stays if the Annual Fee is waived, should I request for a waiver BEFORE or AFTER the Annual Fee is out in the statement?

before. if you want to request it after, make sure you did not perform any transaction so that you can cancel if the request is not successful.

If the annual fee already charged in my statement and my request to waive the annual fee is rejected, do i still need to pay it if i decided to cancel the card ?
