On bios v1206, latest Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) from Asus website cause my pc extremely slow. Boot time are +- one minute, start up time are +- one minute before system ready to use. The board have bios out from factory v1015.

Problem noted just after I flash my bios to v1206. I thought it was OS problem so reinstall Windows 7 and just after IRST installed, my pc become slow. So, I removed and install older version of IRST, problem still persist. Then I uninstalled IRST, my pc boot faster.

I suspect it's related with bios because I already installed IRST while using old bios and no performance decrease. I download the old/ out of factory bios from Asus website and flash to the older version. IRST reinstalled, same version as above and voila! My system are fast as it is before.

So, I confirm in my case, bios v1206 are clash with IRST V11.1.0.1006 and V11.0.0.1032. I'm not sure Windows update will fix this issue. Hope someone can verify this so I know I'm not the only one with this problem.

IRST driver tested:
-Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver Software V11.1.0.1006 for Windows XP/7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)
-Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver Software V11.0.0.1032 for Windows XP/7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

IRST downloaded from:

Thank you...
