I also wanted to wait for iPhone 5 instead of buying the iPhone 4, but after holding the iPhone 4 ... cannot tahan oledi wan .... sold my 3Gs (which was only 15 months old) and got myself a nice iPhone 4.

Once iPhone 5 comes out ... I'm sure I will find a reason to upgrade .... boys and their toys (that's what my wife always says to me ... heh heh)

True true ... my friend changes cars like he changes clothes it's scary .... from an Aston Martin DB9, to a Lamborghini Murcielago to the latest version of the Lambo .... now that is taking boys with toys to the extreme.

Yeah, I told him better you spend that money by giving some to charity like Rumah Bakti or something similar. Anyway, he's worth upwards of 100 mil so what's a couple of million a year for him ... sigh ...

As for me, I already told my wife that I'm a gadget freak so I expect to get an iPhone 5 for my birthday. She told me that she won't buy me the phone but she can give me permission to buy an iPhone 5 for my birthday which is good enough for me .. she knows me so well heh heh heh heh.

Heh heh heh ... must get home minister approval otherwise endless nagging ... now I don't have to worry about it ... come my birthday, I'm getting an iPhone 5 heh heh heh ... Let's hope they release it in September though ...

iPhone 5 WILL be difficult to Jailbreak if we look at the problem with Jailbreaking the iPad 2 (the iPhone 5 will most likely use the same A5 chip as the iPad 2).

I'll probably stick with my iPhone 4 until a Jailbreak is out for the iPhone 5 (when the thing is released lorr). Cannot live without SBSettings.

What does our local newspaper know about this stuff? They are just publishing stuff that they found from the internet also lah. Some members of LYN has better sources than the local journo lah. I'd believe Gizmodo or Engadget more than our local paper lah.

That will be considered illegal wouldn't it? That's why it's not enabled in the iPhone.

If they have something like SBSettings in the new iOS5, then I will consider not jailbreaking. Otherwise, hell no.

It's the iPhone 4 factory unlocked version. USD649 for 16GB and USD749 for the 32GB ....

Added on June 14, 2011, 3:39 pmApple will not "Not Inform" the world because they are Masters at getting their product hyped up. They will want to gove notice because the want people to queue for 24 hours as it then will be on the news so free publicity etc etc ..... Masters at advertising ...

Yes, it's the same iPhone 4 but factory unlocked like the one being sold in Malaysia and Singapore.

Probably has something to do with the USD going down.

I wouldn't be an early adopter of devices that has no local warranty. Seriously, have you guys read all the problems with the iPhone 4s? If you buy it from Maxis/Digi/Celcom, then you have the peace of mind knowing that if anything happens (home button etc, dead pixels etc), you can always get it repaired or exchanged with a refurb or new units. iPhones are not worth being an early adopters.

If I like the upgrade, then I will get it. That's always been the case with me. Nothing beats holding it in your hands and playing with it though.

I usually sell my old gen iPhone before or right after I get the new one and usually I get a good price for it. So upgrading is usually not that expensive.

Yeah and since all my iPhone will have SHSH blobs saved for a lot of firmware version, I get a good price for it as I can sell it at any firmware version that the buyer likes.

Just like the iPad 2 on 4.3.3, cam get extra because of the firmware. So it is always better if you have saved SHSH which is unique to the iPhone.

SHSH is a unique identifier file for each iPhone that allows you to restore/downgrade to the firmware version that the SHSH file is associated with. So if you accidently upgraded the iPhone to 4.3.5, you can ALWAYS downgrade it to a jailbreakable version of 4.3.3,4.3.2 ... 4.2.1 etc etc just by having the SHSH. So if you have the SHSH with you, you can always tell the buyer that they will not need to worry about downgrading or restoring to an older firmware. Extra selling points there.
