If Apple benchmarking their upcoming iPhone with the most highest spec in the market currently, like the Samsung Galaxy S2, dual-core processor and 8mp camera are the "must" changes for next generation iPhone, I assume.

Since performance and speed are on the list of their priorities, I don't find any reason why they don't make it dual-core, they got the A5, just make it compatible with iPhone and that's about it.. Camera.. It is more on subjective side, some may find the 5mp is sufficient enough while some looking for higher mp, no idea.
