yes, simple way is burn CD.
if you're using nero, open nero, close the wizard or go to classic mode, easier to explain.
just click open from menu file to select the *.ISO. click burn, that is. sure is bootable CD.

for me, I din extract it. *.iso is image file burn ready for download.
Another way suggest if u're first time burn iso: right click the *.iso that you download and select open with ur burning software. just insert blank cd, click burn.

If u open nero and open a normal data disc, drag the files extract and burn. It's won't be bootable.
After s-off, you may use fastboot method to push the *.img anytime for any system partition u like: N1, Sense, oxygen, CM, etc...

the output as you mentioned will happen if you open the nero with first option, data disc format. then yes.
if you din choose data disc format and follow the ways I mentioned, nero won;t asking you which format of burning but will follow exactly the format as ISO designed, it's wont be any problem. the output of burned disc when you explore in windows explorer is all the files directly inside of the iso but is not the single *.ISO only. I always download games ISO file burn since many years ago, trust me.

the ISO from http://alpharev.nl/, is in CD bootable format. no need DVD.

of course, in future when you mastering the burning software, we can create our own bootable disc manually and many many type of CD/DVD/Bluray varios format of disc or playback enabled in dvd player. create our own ISO file and so on.
But for now, for beginner, advisable to follow http://alpharev.nl/ ISO way; extract the files is manual way as I said.

yes, that's right. if you continue as the printscreen above, by click New and drag any file to it = failed to boot.
close the new compilation windows, as I said http://alpharev.nl/ already compiled the burn ready format in *.iso.
we dun need to compile again.

1. click File --> Open
then select the iso file


2. the new windows appear, double check on top left of it. will automatically selected as CD
left menu column will only see 1 which is "CD Image"

3. burn it.

If you already understand the steps or you're not confident and dun wan to waste the empty disc, you might need to find any original bootable CD such as OS disc to verify your system/ODD hardware first.

if the s-off steps already finish and already auto-reboot.
turn off your phone, vol down+power on
then can you capture the screen?

s-off doesn't restrict to any rom.
are you still able to boot to your leedoid rom as per normal?
what will happen after you try vol down + power on?

re-flash the recovery.
after try again. if still unable to aceess recovery. try hot-reboot app
there is option to direct reboot in recovery mode.

Common A2SD like Darktremor. and verify/command in terminal or download A2SDGUI app for easy adjusting or make it auto move, save ur time on manual move in TB. If you're using MIUI, Pclaren provided even better than DT. satisfied, my 1GB ext utilized 600MB++ for apps. Last time I like install many apps till 350++, I used D2W, Data2Ext or Data2Whatever Script.

try full wipe and without any additional apps install.
