Did u guy off the Data Connection ?

it's really been a while since i've posted here..hehe

i want to ask MIUI users esp Phantom n djlah, i flashed latest MIUI-Au recently, but cant send and receive sms after that.
everytime i tried to do it, d phone will reboot (soft reboot)
any idea?
i've tried wipe everything, still same..
also tried 1.6.10 version, same prob.

change back to cm..hehe

what ROM are you using before changing to MIUI?

have you tried other versions of MIUI? I mean XJ, US, etc.

go to superuser, at the bottom there is a switch, "manage permissions" is enable by default, disable it.
restart and try again.

if you have google voice, uninstall it
restart and try again.

suggestion 3#
if you still want to keep google voice and would like to enable manage permission,
in the list of superuser, tap google voice, there is messaging and phone, switch to allow for both.
restart and try again.

even though i have desire for 1 year, i havent root it yet. now internal space is needed so rooting is the way. i am happy with the current stock rom and homescreen which my needs.
is it possible just root the phone without formating/reseting the phone and only utilise app2sd+?

yes, you can. root is only gain superuser permission, it's will not formatting or erase your stock rom.

tyja, i cant change back to cm coz my proximity sensor is broken. so far, only MIUI has option to disable it.
if i use cm, i wont be able to end a call. or is d latest cm also has that option? i havent check on cm for a long time..
i've used miui for a while. last version is 1.5.6. i havent update since they change d way to flash.
