QUOTE(phantomash @ Jun 18 2011, 08:11 PM) I find that as long as the ROM can fit into the system partition, CM7 R1 is still better, since data partition is bigger. thanks for sharing. CM7 is great for those prefer big internal memory than A2SD. 145MB for /system, which is same as N1.however once the ROM gets too big, then its time to move to CM7 R2 for the market download, 5MB is too small for large apps, but you can try this to fix it. I'm using it now, basically what it does is create a "market-cache" folder to store the cache on your SD card instead of the cache partition. . . so far MIUI-Au serve me well, after 150 apps/games installed, still got 75MB. |

QUOTE(salimbest83 @ Jun 19 2011, 07:18 AM) can anyone here tell wat these 3 ROM means. 3 different type version:Latest Base Full ROM: 1.6.17 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ English and Chinese 2011-06-10 Releases MIUI XJ D2EXT X-PART 1.6.17 - 2.3.4 GS 3P FINAL http://htcfanboys.com/index.php?app=...s&showfile=126 08120212a7e87297434a1e535cc9d84f MIUI XJ A2SD/A2SD+ 1.6.17 - 2.3.4 FINAL http://htcfanboys.com/index.php?app=...s&showfile=128 480ea084cd0c1830b27b027f8f6eab6d MIUI XJ D2W 1.6.17 - 2.3.4 FINAL http://htcfanboys.com/index.php?app=...s&showfile=129 e7c35026358f0843ec4f5f84c1776d04 what is that D2EXT X-PART and A2SD/A2SD+ why i need 3 type of ROM to flash. really blur2 now Added on June 19, 2011, 7:19 am i see.. actually how to install AmonRa now its using Clockwork 2.5 i think. built in by Alpharev D2EXT = XJ using Data2Extenstion from XDA folks A2SD+ = normal common regular Darktremor A2SD script D2W = Data2Whatever, also the 3rd version created from XJ which is also the script from XDA, many said D2W > D2EXT just flash AmonRA in recovery or using UnrEVOked then select custom recovery. refer 1st page, bro hazril should already link that for guide. |

QUOTE(AhPang92 @ Jun 19 2011, 07:35 PM) there is guideline to unrooted back the phone and stock rom, no issue on claim warranty.if you're new beginner, maybe just stay at unrooted or stock rom. I rooted because I need to modify system table partition and load custom rom. anything you need to do now but rooted required? |

QUOTE(phgmail @ Jun 22 2011, 12:48 AM) it's really been a while since i've posted here..hehe suggestion 1#i want to ask MIUI users esp Phantom n djlah, i flashed latest MIUI-Au recently, but cant send and receive sms after that. everytime i tried to do it, d phone will reboot (soft reboot) any idea? i've tried wipe everything, still same.. also tried 1.6.10 version, same prob. go to superuser, at the bottom there is a switch, "manage permissions" is enable by default, disable it. restart and try again. suggestion 2# if you have google voice, uninstall it restart and try again. suggestion 3# if you still want to keep google voice and would like to enable manage permission, in the list of superuser, tap google voice, there is messaging and phone, switch to allow for both. restart and try again. please share with us after you try. thx |

QUOTE(mdnurman @ Jun 22 2011, 06:46 PM) hi sifus yes, you can. root is only gain superuser permission, it's will not formatting or erase your stock rom.even though i have desire for 1 year, i havent root it yet. now internal space is needed so rooting is the way. i am happy with the current stock rom and homescreen which my needs. is it possible just root the phone without formating/reseting the phone and only utilise app2sd+? |
