of course i'm serious. well known doesn't mean it's reliable, proton is also well known in malaysia, does their brand makes them good? i can confirm it's their motherboard's problem, because when it fried, i took out everything on it (processor, RAM, PSU) and put all of them into another brand's mobo, it worked fine until now. 3 units of Asus mobo from low spec to high spec (celeron 2 years plus, P4 and dual core not more than 2 years) also faced this problem before and all 3 also i swapped out the cpu, rams and stuff into other mobo. after swapping to other brand, the hardware is still running until now (24/7 as usual). and 1 year ago i purchased a core2 duo with Asus mobo (giving it one last chance), the mobo spoiled within 6 months, brought it back for warranty, now keeping it in store room collecting dust because i bought a GIGABYTE mobo to replace it when it was sent back to claim warranty.
i swore i wouldn't use ASUS anymore. i'm not bashing this brand, i'm stating only facts.

If you watched the show before, you can see ASUS's ad company really did a good job imitating the show, lol! Even the name, "The EeePad Story" rhymes with the original show's name.
