QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ May 20 2011, 11:53 PM) Both CIMB Bank and Direct Access do offer VISA Signature. QUOTE(ronnie @ May 21 2011, 03:08 AM) Can we upgrade from Direct Access Platinum Visa to Direct Access Visa Signature ? CIMB offers both VS and VI, while DA issues VI and no VS at this moment. Generally, there is not much difference between CIMB VS and CIMB/DA VI. As a CIMB VS cardholder, you can enjoy all the privilege and discount given to CIMB/DA VI members, except some golfing benefits which are only applicable to CIMB/DA VI.

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ May 21 2011, 10:27 AM) I see. Then if I'm looking for the benefits of discounts at restaurants, I guess the CIMB VS will be good enough. What's the unique point of the Direct Access card? Other than that it's only available to graduates. I personally feel that CIMB is better than DA, even though DA is under CIMB. My DA card was not recognised by some merchants on a few occasions, although it rarely happened.

QUOTE(shanelai @ Sep 3 2011, 11:23 AM) Will the rewards point for cimb master card expire? If yes how long is the lifetime? 3 years only. That's why I got myself DA VI instead, 0.5% cash back instantly for every sen charged in Malaysia and 1% cash back for overseas transactions. I don't need to worry about points expiry, and at the same time I enjoy benefits given by CIMB.

As for me, the main attraction of CIMB/DA cards is the 0% BT only. I have yet to receive any notification from CIMB about the change of my DA VI to CIMB version. I wonder how CIMB would conduct this massive change, especially when a lot of DA customers are currently having BT. The transfer to CIMB would imply a new card number.
