have anyone tried before calling cimb to absorb your rm50 gst and success? just to share, 2 months ago i called to cancel my cimb cc and the cs tried to stop me from cancelling the card by offering me the exact points to offset the gst. but i rejected the offer and cancelled the card. i know many banks did that to keep/maintain their customers, but i never know cimb did that too. QUOTE(suadrif @ Nov 4 2013, 07:53 PM) i feel like CIMB is the worst customer service that i had deal with lodge an official complain thru email for 3 days, got 2 acknowledgement receipt, means there is 2 staff already read my official complain, but till now there is no news regarding on it. less benefit compared to others less user friendly compared to others i really dont want to use this card anymore QUOTE(nothingz @ Nov 4 2013, 11:09 PM) true, their customer service is really the worst compare with other banks i have dealt with. they can't provide answer straight away, always need to delegate the issue to respective departments which may take days to come out with the solution and may not be able to solve the issue on the spot. i feel your pain this was the main reason i terminated my card with them 2 months ago. good for me to have ended this torturing once and for all... QUOTE(suadrif @ Nov 19 2013, 10:07 AM) no. what i mean is, cimb does have 0% installment with easypay but the problem is, other CIMB credit card does mention that 0% easypay is one of the card's benefit, but in CIMB Petronas credit card, the 0% easypay is not in the benefit list 0% epp should be a feature for all cimb credit cards.

QUOTE(mrpoliebaba @ Nov 19 2013, 04:34 PM) nope..never waive this RM 50 one la...what you can do is to ask them to use the points to deduct la..if not mistaken..all bank don't waive this government tax one what i mean is the cimb cs is offering/giving me the exact points (not my own accumulated points) to be converted for the gst deduction. but i rejected it and cancelled bcs cimb card cash back features not that interesting if compared to others. QUOTE(lucas114 @ Mar 3 2014, 08:53 AM) Let's say for CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum Credit Card, Total Outstanding balance : RM500 Rebate : RM150 (Welcome Bonus) Outstanding balance (need to pay) : RM350? 1. Is the rebate (Welcome Bonus) received offset the outstanding balance automatically? 2. Is it necessary to call CS to use the Welcome Bonus to offset the outstanding balance? it will offset automatically without the need to call cs.

QUOTE(lucas114 @ Mar 3 2014, 11:50 AM) Thanks. Actually, I assume the same. But, there are Finance Charges in my statement, even though I have paid fully days before the due date (considering the RM150 Welcome Bonus + money paid for the remaining outstanding balance). The amount of the Finance Charges is calculated to be for an overdue amount of RM150. Called CS and he said with the rebate and money paid, it is considered fully paid and the Finance Charges will be credited back in the next statement. With the reversal there will be no bad record, right? to avoid all the trouble, you should have paid all the outstanding including the rm150 (if the rm150 welcome bonus delayed to show up in your statement). so when the rm150 is added to you later on, you can use it to offset your future transactions with the cc (unless you are not using the cc anymore).

QUOTE(lucas114 @ Mar 3 2014, 01:03 PM) Actually, I assume there will be no trouble at all because, 1. The statement date was on 28 Jan. 2. The RM150 Welcome Bonus was credited on 30 Jan. 3. And I made the remaining payment via CIMBClicks on 13 Feb. All payments were transacted and posted before the due date, 17 Feb. Anyway, it is just a sharing. yes, if this was the case (confirming rm150 was credited on 30/1), then it shouldn't be a problem at all. this should be cimb problem then... and yes, when the reversal takes place, you won't have a bad record.
