Called CIMB, they say cannot waive GST, use point to offset. I spend all my points, then call to cancel.
After confirming my details and before asking me to confirm, they offer me RM50 cashback if I spend RM200 within 30 days. Rejected and proceed with cancellation.
This information might be useful for you guys who want to keep the card
Feel CIMB not much good deals/offers lately. Plus later can sign up again if they have good offer after the cooling period.

Received a call from CIMB Cancellation department 5 minutes ago. The guy on the line ask me why I want to terminate the card, so I tell him "CIMB practice is not to waive GST". Then he offered RM50 rebate, and I told him I already destroyed the card after the previous phone call, he terus offer to send me replacement card. Not bad. I will keep the card since waive GST. |
