QUOTE(fahrur_07 @ Mar 14 2012, 11:46 PM) CIMB Petronas CC 2% rebate is indeed miserable. CIMB is advised to revise the cashback rate ASAP. At least a 5% at Petronas will suffice.only 2% rebate??? lol...OCBC Titanium can give 5% rebate at ANY petrol station, not just petronas better dont link the card with Petronas name Can't even beat Amex Gold's 5X TP (equivalent to ~2.5% rebate), not to mention OCBC Ti / Maybankard 2Amex / UOB One Card. |

You all so direct shoot CIMB Petronas card haha.
Anyway, the 2% rebate is capped to to a max pending of RM2500 at any petronas service station. Wonder what this statement mean? |

@superwoman
Hire those people will help you easier 8% is too much, for such a small little bank.. +it's VISA/master, not AMEX where higher charges are applicable. make it this way. Something like What Citibank has done previously, and Esso is doing for the PBB Currently... (Tier Based for Both Fuels and Expenses, and MUST tele together... means to hit Tier 1, one must spend at least RM20 on something, and if you spend 1k for fuel and RM50 for anything, you will still stay @ Tier 2 instead of Tier 4. By doing this, you will enCourage people to spend not only on the cards main point, but on other stuffs as well. Tier-Based ones... Sounds easier for MOST of the people out there 1. RM200 Fuels +Telcos (With Max 2 Highest Bills) With -> RM20 Purchases of Anything -> 2% (RM4 Cashback total for Fuel, and RM0.04 for other expenses) 2. RM400 Fuels + Telcos (With Max 2 Highest Bills) With -> RM50 Purchases of ANything -> 3.5% (RM14 Cashback For Fuel and RM0.10 for other Expenses) 3. RM700 Fuels + Telcos (With Max 2 Highest Bills) With -> RM100 Purchases of Anything -> 6% (RM42 Cashback for Fuel and RM0.20 For other Expenses) 4. RM1000 Fuels + Telcos (With Max 2 Highest Bills) With -> RM150 Purchases of Anything ->7.5% ( RM75 Cashback for Fuel and RM0.30 For Other Expenses) Max cap @ 1k spending for cashback for fuels, and no limit for Anything Anything Means ANYTHING... Bills, retails, Etc ETc ETc.. Heck Rm150 purchases is easy as pie if he does basic Groceries... like Toothpastes and etc 1k Fuels are hard to achieve, but 700 is easy for frequent Travellers.. and you will find yourself Much Heavy Fuel Pumpers.. Or Ron97 users Using this card as hell as possible. the cash Rebates of % only applicable to Fuels... or if you felt that a little Guilty, give 0.7% Unlimited Cashback for Everything Purchases lu... Telco Charges is to prevent those with multiple Bills like 2 phone bills + internet bills + 3G internet Bills + etc etc etc.. So overall Calculation Without 0.2% cashback Calculation 1. 1.81% Cash Rebates, Approximately... ~ 2. 3.1% Cash Rebates, Approximately~ 3. 5.25% Cash Rebates Approximately~ 4. 6.52% Cash Rebates Approximately~ It may lose to AMex, but it will grant himself a easy fight compared to others~ Especially u know Who, same 1k just different way to achieve it. Give them a BIG Chunk of Interest Rate... 18.88% per annumm.. and bet 20% out of the 100% customer base will forgot to Pay the bills in Time. Since basic is 2.5K, give priority to those who has higher education and haven't own a card yet... so therefore they will be the one to benefit the most Following the style of MBB of 1 hour application is considerable also, or just for online registration give them something in return la~ My thinking My way of thinking. |

@boonykun : We prefer not to have Tier-based cash back which what we call "insincere" like Citibank or HSBC. Either you give x% or don't give at all (+ lose customer base)
