So I'm getting a Visa Signature soon. Other than the complimentary GSC tickets and 2 entries to Airport Lounge (which is so little), it seems got the below as well..

CIMB Premier Club Rewards - Enjoy privileged savings when you use your CIMB Visa Signature at any of our participating merchants.

CIMB Bank Smart Rewards - Enjoy year-long discounts at over 500 dining, retail and lifestyle outlets bringing you privileges and benefits wherever you go.

I want to know where can I find the list of 'participating merchants/restaurants instead of having to call them. Thanks.

Very different. Direct Access is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIMB Group offering banking services through a virtual branch to graduates only whilst VISA Signature is a a credit card. Both CIMB Bank and Direct Access do offer VISA Signature.

CIMB offers both VS and VI, while DA issues VI and no VS at this moment. Generally, there is not much difference between CIMB VS and CIMB/DA VI. As a CIMB VS cardholder, you can enjoy all the privilege and discount given to CIMB/DA VI members, except some golfing benefits which are only applicable to CIMB/DA VI.

I see. Then if I'm looking for the benefits of discounts at restaurants, I guess the CIMB VS will be good enough.

What's the unique point of the Direct Access card? Other than that it's only available to graduates.

There are hidden promotion that CIMB never announced.

Shogun 15% discount. I only knew it when I went there.

I personally feel that CIMB is better than DA, even though DA is under CIMB. My DA card was not recognised by some merchants on a few occasions, although it rarely happened.

I have never encountered such a problem. The only problem that I faced was that, I was teased and looked down by the SA who approached me for cc application.
A approached me for CC application, showed A my DA Plat. A was very excited and told B that I got a Plat at my young age. B said, what a big deal, since DA only has Plat and not Gold.

Felt like saying, mine is the Professional Partner and not the ordinary DA card. Even if it were, at least I am a degree holder. Not many can apply DA, lol.

There is a significant different of CIMB VS and VI (DA or CIMB), VS is collecting reward points but VI is only for cash rebate.

Really. I got mine at March. It's a genuinely gold coloured DA Mastercard. laugh.gif

If I have the time I'll go ask them to change the colour for me biggrin.gif

RM 80,000/annum, wow such a big leap from its previous RM 24,000/annum. smile.gif
Surprisingly, if you Google you still can find the card from its website. smile.gif

https://www.cimbbank.com.my/index.php?ch=da...c=2&tpt=cimb_da

I just called the CS for some matters, forgot to ask him about this. laugh.gif

Anyway, what I love about it, it's the CS, no hanky panky and straight to the point. Not forgetting effective! Maybank still has a lot to learn from them. smile.gif
