QUOTE(Leo the Lion @ Dec 6 2013, 08:53 PM) Just noticed kena finance charge rm64. Is finance charge refers to interest rate? Kinda confuse here coz this is the first time get this charge from cimb Maybe you didn't fully settle your last month's Statement Balance... this would be interest charged for outstanding balance[attachmentid=3756864] |

Just received an SMS from CIMB for Direct Access
QUOTE RM0.00 Wef 1 Jan 2014, your Direct Access credit card will be rebranded to CIMB Bank credit card upon renewal of your card. For info, visit www.cimbbank.com http://www.cimbbank.com.my/creditcard/atta...format)-4.2.pdf FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS for Rebranding of the Direct Access Credit Card Q: Why is the bank rebranding my Direct Access credit card to CIMB Bank credit card? A: This is to align the Bank’s credit card branding with the CIMB Group, as a regional universal bank operating in high growth economies in ASEAN. Q: When will my card be replaced with a CIMB Bank credit card? A: Your Direct Access principal and supplementary card (if any) will be replaced with a CIMB Bank credit card, upon expiry of your card. Q: In the interim (waiting for my next card renewal), can I still use my Direct Access credit card? A: Yes, Direct Access is a division of CIMB Bank Berhad. You can be assured that there will be no service interruption to the usage of your credit card and no change to your terms & conditions governing the usage of your credit card. Q: What will happen to my direct / auto-debit, standing instruction and auto-payment service? A: All will remain unchanged. Q: Can I upgrade my Direct Access credit card to a higher CIMB Bank credit card? A: Yes, you can. For more information or assistance on the upgrading of your credit card, please contact our Customer Relations Officer at 03-6204 7878 / 6204 7979. QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jan 9 2014, 11:36 PM) good for you, i have not received such offer yet. Comparing the Aeon BT and this CIMB BT, which is better? Confirmed we can earn Bonus Point for each month's BT installment payment.... I am planning to take that Aeon BT, zero fees , 6 equal monthly installment in 6 months, interest 0%. THey are trying to find out for me if we can earn Aeon points on the amount of money transferred............If really can earn points, imagine getting 30000 points just like that huh, i think i must be dreaming.......i doubt Aeon credit will give us points for doing BT.... Prefect: BT to CIMB first, then followed by BT to AEON |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jan 10 2014, 02:06 AM) that means CIMB BT must be better. Becos if i BT to Aeon Watami card, the total BT amount will be divided into 6 equal payments, and every month i would be paying back 1/6 of my hutang, end of 5 months hardly any left to transfer to CIMB as new BT. Yes... exactly like you said. If this CIMB BT is also 0 fees and zero interest for 6 months, and every month we need pay only the minimal 5% of our hutang, this CIMB BT is much much better than the Aeon BT i am contemplating now. Please confirm if that CIMB BT is just like what i have speculated above. thanks. and i am hoping i would also receive such BT offer from CIMB, may be i have to mention my interest in it to my RM tomorrow..... CIMB BT 0% need to pay min 5% for month 1-5 and fully settled by Month 6. Then we BT balance of Month 6 to AEON BT 6-month (equal installment). |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jan 10 2014, 09:08 AM) By the way is this CIMB BT the BT that will create a new account and so you can continue to swipe your CIMB card and wont get interest charges for other retail transactions usual 20 days interest free from statement date right? Yes.... Either way for my case I'm not swiping the card also, purely for BT purpose |
