It's 4x lower than SCB's offer... nevertheless, it's free to take. I will take and STILL cancel the card later.

I too am planning to cancel my trusty DA card. Served me well but the benefits are too few and no longer competitive.

QUOTE(lamode @ Sep 21 2012, 11:28 PM) Been holding the card since Sep 2011, used it for BT last year and few huge transactions, all payments cleared in time. fast forward 2 weeks+ and this morning CIMB called me, they will rebate RM50 and reactive the card for me...GST due earlier this month, i have paid it, and then request on cimb clicks to cancel the card due to GST on wed, as of today, i see the available CL become 0 on cimb clicks, I guess the card is cancelled sorry guys, i didn't ask about BT, but i believe shouldn't be a problem based on the conversation. |

I've just redeemed my 5000 bonus points from my CIMB WMC last week, for RM25 cash back. I was quite pleasantly surprised at the efficiency as I did the redemption online and the RM25 was already credited the next morning. My Citi PremierMiles redemption took 2 working days. This way I will not incur more Bonus Points....since plan to cancel it |

I believe you need to have the Bonus Points in your account before you can redeem. I have a CIMB Gold Petronas Card since 4 years back.
With the OCBC and MBB Amex card, I no longer need this card - except to buy duty free stuff at Airport. Also, there is no reward point for this card. Do you think I still keep this cc for the duty free. Or just cancel it now, and wait for better CC offer in future? |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Oct 11 2012, 10:27 AM) Yea.. My Amex's rate is also 10,000 for RM50, but I earn twice as fast at 2 points for each RM1 spent.By the way, did SCB change their cashback redemption rate? It used to be 14,000 points for RM50, but I think it's now 40,000 for RM100? That's not competitive at all, at 10,000 for RM25! Anyway, I'm sticking with my SCB VI for its unlimited worldwide airport lounge access benefit This post has been edited by Explorer II: Oct 11 2012, 10:51 AM |

Yes, they just revised the cashback redemption rate about 1-2 months ago, just for RM100 now and that requires 40,000. Your worldwide airport lounge access gives you much better 'return' By the way, did SCB change their cashback redemption rate? Any difference between visa infinite, world master card and visa signature? I know visa signature is a tier lower than the other 2 but the benefit seems similar. 1x points for local spending n x2 for oversea spending. plus they ranked all 3 cards as premier for promotion wise. Is there any significant differences among all 3 cards? thx
