For those of you who are NEW to CIMB credit card and therefore eligible for the 0% CIMB Balance Transfer 2012, click on below link to read my article on it

I heard the CS said the definition "New" is really new...even if you cancelled your card 6 months ago, not consider as "New".
Anyway, I just get my Visa Signature cancelled a few minutes ago, the CS surprisingly offer 5,000 to offset 50% of the GST but still not attractive enough for me to stay any longer with a card without 0% BT program.

Sorry, posted this earlier in a different thread, should be here.

Hi Sifus, CIMB issued the Petronas loyalty credit card (GREEN coloured card not GOLD card). Used it to pump petrol at Petronas, rebate given but any purchases at other retail outlets (other than petrol), credit points not given. Is this the terms of the card usage? No points cannot use to offset the GST, seem useless. Anyone can enlighten me, thks. rclxub.gif

Direct Access was formerly a sub-brand by Southern Bank (something like MACH by Hong Leong Bank) where their products are targeted at graduates/professionals.

Don't go waste your time wondering about DA, just apply for CIMB cards tongue.gif

my GST due in October, I send first email through cimb clickc to request cancel the card because of no 0% BT. They give cash rewards to the CC to cover GST and promise they will be a new BT promotion. I accept it. when I looking to the new promotion of BT only for new applicant's I email another request to cancel with the same reason and I receive another offer with this invitation of BT.

Been holding the card since Sep 2011, used it for BT last year and few huge transactions, all payments cleared in time.

GST due earlier this month, i have paid it, and then request on cimb clicks to cancel the card due to GST on wed, as of today, i see the available CL become 0 on cimb clicks, I guess the card is cancelled sweat.gif

Your card is a Debit Card i.e. you need money in the account for your transaction to be successful. No email will be sent to you for any transaction with your card; however, you may receive a SMS Alert informing you that you have made a transaction (CIMB has a default value for face to face transaction and as such not all transaction will receive a SMS Alert) In actual fact, DO NOT open any emails that claim to be from the banks.

You can check your balance via your online account e.g. CIMB Clicks or ATM to see if amount has been deducted.

Please go to this thread http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2048731 and do a search on CIMB and then post further questions there.
