your kampung mostly have GPRS.
GPRS = 48kbps
EDGE = 230kbps
3G UMTS = 384kbps

Digi have no money to upgrade all GSM tower to EDGE.

I'm getting inconsistent (Digi, what happen to your consistent ad??) speed, and timeout sometimes with my Prepaid Digi mobile broadband. Stayin in PJ.
If it's good, then I'll get a constant near to 50kb/s dl speed.

Whereby in Ipoh, Digi rawks.. (I think because not many uses mobile broadband over there), so I can easily get between 100 - 150kb/s dl rate, can even stream megavideo without lags!

in PJ, streaming a 320p youtube oso lag like turtle sweat.gif Digi, come on, where is your promise?? "At DIGI, consistency rules?"

ya man, I noticed it too recently..
I switched over to Digi because of the consistency thing. I don't mind if it's not as fast as Maxis or whatever.. but hey, it looks like Digi's losing it now..

My connection is even worst if I only switched to EDGE (2G, saves battery).

Come on, do something Digi! Else.. you know lar.. user like us these days can just swap to another provider anytime... rolleyes.gif

yea in the past i dont mind about speed as well, as long as consistent then 384kbps is more than enough for me, but somehow now is no longer there,.. best is using prepaid in broadband, as easier for us to move to new ISP if thing dont get better in digi,..

if RM8 unlimited, no quota control, that mean digi will be the cheaper prepaid internet telco again.

Suggestion, if anyone have Nokia phone such as N97 model, connect using pc suite and use the phone as a modem. you can see the difference.

DiGi in Ipoh is real HSPA network.

Uploads can really break 2mbps during off peak hours if lucky.

Please note that the maximum charge for Pay-As-You-Use Internet will be revised to RM8 per day effective from 1 June 2011 for all DiGi Prepaid plans.

For more savings, sign up for Internet Unlimited 3 (IU3) to enjoy Internet on your phone at RM3/day! Dial *116*2# to sign up now!

Internet Unlimited 15 still RM15/week.

IU3 and IU15 are subscription services, rather than pay-as-you-use (which is what I thought prepaid is about).

Those plans are fine is you need to use every day and are ok with the data quota, yet they are unsuitable or inconvenient / ma fan for intermittent user.
