For those of you who have the Motorola Atrix, do you have any problems with call quality where the other side hears your voice as rather muffled?

I tested this myself with my other phone and couldn't even get a clear call through. I could still hear what I was saying if I really concentrated hard but this is contrary to reviews saying it had awesome call quality.

I think buyers of Atrixes should be aware of the current issues the Atrix faces:

1. Occasional app crashes (possible fixed in the latest update (but is still in beta)).
2. Skype does NOT work on the Atrix http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=799905 Outgoing calls have loud static noises. Skype says it's Motorola's fault.
3. Latest update breaks all root with no known fix
4. Call quality issue as detailed below
5. No custom roms due to locked bootloader

Outgoing voice quality sounds muffled to other party regardless of noise suppression settings.

This indicates a hardware issue but is unconfirmed and looks to be different than what Motorola is saying.

Yes I am using the Atrix. The app crash problem is pretty prevalent and was also officially acknowledged by Motorola.

I managed to get on the beta and I think the crashes are resolved but the voice quality.... sad.gif VERY HORRIBLE. That said, Motorola did say that this release did not fix the voice quality issue but some posts indicate that a fix is only coming in MAY!!!! sad.gif How to use a phone that can't even work properly as a phone??

Release Notes:
After downloading and installing the software, you will notice the following improvements:
Bluetooth Improved multimedia experience with Bluetooth devices as well as the ability to use phone with additional headsets
Fingerprint reader Improved fingerprint reader performance
Battery Improved battery performance for longer battery life
Screen Display will turn off automatically now while charging directly on wall charger
Phone stability Improved stability resulting in fewer occurrences of touch unresponsiveness and/or programs quitting unexpectedly.

Aiyo pray that my distributor/seller will honor it and allow one to one exchange lor. Damn frustrated. I of course didn't realize the problem within the first few days since I thought maybe reception bad or what. Then mana tau....so many other people having same problem as me damn unlucky lor.

Now distributor keep on asking me to call him back later and later and later then always say busy and now totally didn't reply me. Really regret.

If they ask me to warranty exchange take how many month I also damn upset ler.

Good for you guys. Just thought people should know of this possible problem so they can make sure their set not cacat. Hard to know about this problem cause ya can call and can do everything so hard to test on the spot unless u know exactly what problem it is.

Bought from Paul (item.com.my) who referred me to Alex from I Gadgets at Lowyat whom I understand is the distributor.

Paul has been helpful la and Alex at first I thought quite helpful cause over the weekend he said no problem no problem just let me know on Monday. Mana tau Monday he keep on putting me off. Will wait and c lor maybe he really busy but no joke la very kanchiong. I know the longer time pass, maybe I will damage the Atrix or what then cannot return or what. HAIYOOOO Stress ler!

Then once sold, mana tau galaxy S2 delayed delayed for how long then wait wait and when finally arive turn out to be Incredible S!!!!!!! So I thought ok la just try Motorola Atrix now I'm stuck with this crap *_*

Added on March 30, 2011, 11:56 amProblem suddenly disappeared last night. Call quality is ok not fantastic (not as good as the Blackberry Torch) but no problems in hearing my voice.

I had tried both with Celcom and Digi so I'm not sure what caused the issue maybe I naik stim so much until the circuits heated up and resetted itself ?
