Hi guys ! Juz got my DHD yesterday from digi hehe ... So excited now ... Spending time reading the thread and also the manual ... I got 1 question :

1) I start up my phone at the digi place coz scared the phone got problem so during the initial setup I skip most of the stuff (Including the google account and facebook acccount part)

I read the manual at some page it says if I skip that then some feature will be disabled ? =.= Is it true ? Can I still do it now or I have to do a factory reset =/

Let me quote the message from the manual page 75:

If you skipped signing in to a Google Account when you first set up your phone, you may encounter problems when using some Google apps. If these problems persist, you may need to factory reset your phone and enter your Google Account details when you set up the phone again. To factory reset your phone, see “Restarting or factory resetting your phone” in the Update and reset chapter.

you can enter Setup page again by tapping at App Drawer (all apps menu) and find Setup. that's all.  smile.gif

Wow thanks for the super quick reply smile.gif I understand we're not blackberry so if we setup up email account, we need to enter the "Mail App" to check our email everytime right? Any special app to install to make it come in straight like sms with notification? (I don't mind turning on my mobile data all the time)

My friend say (like in the manual) the initial google account which setup will be auto like that ... subsequent emails added will need to enter the app to check .. got such thing ar ? =/

Just go to Settings > Accounts and Sync and add your accounts from there on (Google Account, HTC Sense account, etc etc)  smile.gif

Oh and, welcome to the family  tongue.gif Want to add your name to the user list?

As for that, just enable auto sync for the e-mail accounts you wanted notifications from.

Yes a google account is a must for things like the Market. smile.gif

You can also add as many e-mail accounts as you like, as well as your facebook accounts and twitter accounts.

As for the HTC Sense account, very few of us use it as it drains quite alot of battery and its a CPU hog, but its needed for that htcsense.com thing.

Icic ... as far as I know the htcsense.com thing doesn't work in Malaysia right ? So totally no point for us ?

It works to a certain extent, but the battery and CPU usage is alot. Most of us rather prefer the battery legroom than the htcsense.com service.

@monza

This sounds gooding!  drool.gif
