Don't forget the other 1215B variant. Comes with a C-50 instead of the E-350 and has W7 Starter.

QUOTE(Borsch Soup @ Mar 27 2011, 07:40 PM) Well clock for clock, the N550 would be faster but due to the out-of-order execution the C-50 uses, the difference is not much. But overall the C-50 is still more powerful. QUOTE(marcus20125 @ Mar 27 2011, 07:40 PM) Thanks Marcus, that's very reassuring to hear that. |

Oh just install a new OS yourself. I plan to chuck an SSD into it once I get my hands on one.

Imma putting an Intel X-25M 160GB in it. I got mines for just RM700 in GS. Best part of the SSD is you can now manhandle the netbook and don't have to worry about your data.

But the X-25M G2 has it.
Even the Corsair F-series has it and it's pretty good there already. |

Slower but seems to be quite good value. Personally, I would wait for reviews and issues to come out before I proceed.

QUOTE(ballsofsteel @ Apr 2 2011, 01:24 PM) Might be out already.QUOTE(watekeke @ Apr 2 2011, 01:33 PM) 40GB might be stretching it. Safer to put 60GB at least unless you don't have that much stuff to bring around.QUOTE(mitodna @ Apr 2 2011, 02:00 PM) Hmm, why put SSD in the 1215? Better performance, faster access times, your data is safer etc...40gb is okay with Windows 7 with Office, properly left 15gb after install. |

Perhaps you can find owikh84. I got my SSD from him. Great seller of great products.
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1485352&hl= But bear in mind, OEM products only have a limited warranty. If you got more budget then can get Corsair or Mushkin. |

Technically, I wouldn't call the Transformer a netbook.

There was the old touch EeePC T101MT iirc. Not sure if it's still available in the mass market.
