For that budget (RM1.8-2k), I think its better to get an AMD E350- powered lappy (many choices at the moment) and put in an SSD instead (as suggested by eugenechiuu)  brows.gif

Err..... even a RM1.4k netbook could handle your friend's usage? RM2-2.5k is quite overkill already  laugh.gif
THe ThinkPad Edge is still one of the best subnotebooks at this time, but the specs are quite outdated already, perhaps your friend would like to wait for the new SB ULV processors?

i see hmm.gif
his laptop was broken down and it's kind of inconvenient for him to do his job
actually i recommended NB550D to him
but he said it's too small

Aspire 4253 is a good buy?

Apart from the AMD powered netbooks, there's really not much >10" <14" laptops with newer technology... Need to wait for more ULV models to come....
Still here are some from Dell:
Vostro 3350, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM2209[2.04kg]
Vostro 3350, i3-2310M + AMD HD6470@RM2376[2.04kg]
Vostro 3350, i5-2410M + Intel HD3000@RM2469[2.04kg]
Vostro 3350, i5-2410M + AMD HD6470@RM2636[2.04kg]

and Acer:
Aspire 3750G, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT520M@RM2199
*
will try to find more E350 powered netbook/laptop brows.gif
i think he dont mind of old technology
he's the person who dont really care abt specs
as long as the laptop stable and can be use, all done laugh.gif
thanks for the recommendation
