Usually it takes some time for new stuff to be updated on the site. I know my laptop took almost 2 months + before it was listed.

Nope. Latest one now is the mobile Phenom II x4 which is basically something like a desktop Athlon II.

If the AMD processor has A, C or E in the name, it's a Fusion APU.
Normally, if a laptop has a discrete GPU, it will have a HDMI port. |

E350 is more powerful but it will consume more battery. So if long battery life is your priority then get a C50.

They rectified that sad mistake of using a unified mic/audio out port, non glossy surface, separate mouse buttons and are those repositioned speakers on top of the keyboard? |

If the 1215B with E-350 is not here at all, then I think I'll just go for a U41SV.

Since it's listed already, my guess is next month. I can wait. My A42JV is still going strong. I feel a bit bad if I let it go though.

I am considering selling it off at the right price. I had made some offers to trade with other laptops before but yeah as fortune has it.... wasn't successful.

I think around 1.9k to 2k for it is a fair price. Then I just need to top up another 1k for the U41SV.

QUOTE(ic3rock @ Apr 11 2011, 12:46 PM) Any recommended 14" AMD laptop for MSI and Asus? Now for AMD processor, AMD Phenom II X3 Triple-Core processor N830 is latest model? Still will got hot issue compare with before? Your budget? AMD also has their quad core Phenom II X4 Mobile range which is essentially a lower powered desktop quad core Athlon II X4. New generation AMD procs are much cooler than their predecessors. |

QUOTE(ic3rock @ Apr 12 2011, 10:46 AM) If you want AMD:Asus X42DE, AMD Phenom II N830 + ATI HD5470@RM1599, FreeDOS Can also consider these for Intel based laptops: Acer Aspire 4743ZG, P6200 + Nvidia GT520M@RM1749, 3 years local limited warranty Asus A42E, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM1699, FreeDOS Lenovo G470, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM1599, FreeDOS Can safely say these ones can last you a while with your usage. If you want cheaper can get those using AMD Fusion APU. This post has been edited by AlexLai: Apr 12 2011, 11:09 AM |

QUOTE(ic3rock @ Apr 12 2011, 11:40 AM) I see, just price check at garage sales, found that Msia price is slightly cheaper and also 2gb of gc while SG K43S only come with 1gb... I won't say not recommended, but it's up to your usage and budget. Fusion based laptops is good value for money in the netbook sector while the Phenom II X3 on the X42DE is good for rendering work at a very economical price. But then, the Intel based laptops are generally better value for money.Another question, u not recommend to get AMD's laptop? |
