Asus Eee PC 1015B and HP dm1z. which one perfomance in battery life? want to buy something small, battery life.  smile.gif
*
Well, we should comprre Asus 1015b with Acer AO522, both AMD C-50...
whereas HP dm1z should be compared to the Asus 1215b, both AMD E-350

1015b will definitely have longer battery life due to the smaller screen size..

As for 1215b and HP Dm1z, the battery life would be around 5-6hours.

Really hope it comes here, I've tried the harman/kardon speakers already, they're really good, and will give people another reason why they should get the NB550D laugh.gif

If you're only interested in the physical appearance of the laptop, you can take a look at the newer Asus A series, they're the same thumbup.gif

High cache? Are you referring to the HDD space or the processor? hmm.gif
For the AMD powered lappies, it all depends on one's own preferences since they offer more or less the same stuffs nod.gif
Personally I like the Sony, Asus and HP. Dell's a bit too glossy for my taste.
For user friendliness and ergonomics, its definitenly the impressive Portege T210 even though it looks hideous:
For reliability and spill-resistant keyboard, Thinkpad Edge 11 thumbup.gif

Update: Oh ya, need to add, the Intel processors, in this case are better than those AMD APUs. But GPU-wise, AMD's better nod.gif

i'm referring the processor cache
if i buy thinkpad edge 11 and ssd 60gb isi it worth?  biggrin.gif
*
With the 60GB SSD it will become rather expensive liao at around RM2.5k shocking.gif
It depends on whether you need the extra speed or not?
Personally I don't think its worth it, not at this stage anyway... SSDs are still too expensive...

Edge is kind of using old generation processor, it is good and better than e350 though,

+1
The SB ULVs were just released lately, expect spec refresh later. When that time comes, the Intel HD3000 will probably be better than the AMD HD6310 liao laugh.gif

yurp. im finding secondary laptop that i can bring anywhere for word processing and surfing  biggrin.gif

Err... its worth it at this time if you're not into gaming... (as long as you won't regret when the new one comes out hehe)
The laptop is more expensive because of the better processor, 18 months warranty and spill resistant keyboard... and its a THinkpad (Edge) laugh.gif

Then e-350 is better since u have better battery life.. The 1215B @ rm1299 is definitely a bargain.. Add a 80gb SSD its still cheaper than edge11 lol..

Btw it's true i3 ulv is better than e-350 independently, but they're different class n much more expensive.. But the hd6310 compensates for the weaker CPU n kicks in when doing tasks, that's why we say overall performance e-350 would be better or more or less the same..

An example is the c-50 and hd6250, it's weaker than n550 dual core atom but the user experience is much better.. U can see feedbacks from our forumers using AO522
*
Good point notworthy.gif
I think having a balanced GPU/CPU power is better than having a good CPU but bottlenecked by the GPU vice versa hmm.gif

June..... is still a looooooooooooong way to go bro haha, by that time there will definitely be better ones, wait until then, perhaps even the "1215b" would be powered by the E-450?

If it comes with i5-2410M, surely will be below RM3k...
The N43Sn (if it comes), will be more expensive

i wonder why 15 inch is cheaper than 14 inch? and for the A53SV, is it worth to spend another RM200 for 2GB GPU?

The 15 inchers were released abit earlier, price dropped already nod.gif
And usually smaller sized laptops will cost more as well sad.gif
Anyway, you should pay RM200 more for N53Sv instead of the 2GB A53Sv thumbup.gif

The U41Sv has quite good specs thumbup.gif
But its a bit heavier than the U41Jf, hopefully its due to better built this time smile.gif
The only problem is when the laptop will reach M'sia sad.gif

Selling 2nd hand bro? Its a good laptop nevertheless~ I remembered how it dominated the budget-gaming laptop market during its time before the release of the 4820Tg thumbup.gif
