aside from few upgrades, do mind that the base stock doesn't comes with any promotional antivirus or microsoft office suite so for some users it might be tedious to install that by themselves. also, the only thing you will receive beside the laptop itself are power adapter and 1 media dvd (which i don't know what's inside, don't bother to check it yet ).

and about the loudness, even though it is audible, i would say i don't bothered by that even in a quiet room.

Conclusion :

The laptop itself is quite sturdy and nicely built with the price of plain and boring design. The input device of this laptop can be categorized as above average, with the help of backlit keyboard for those who love to type in the dark. the performance is as expected from i5-2520m + intel hd3000. if u decided to go for this model, i can assure you it can serve you well.

Anyway, you can try taking the photos with macro on, and then reduce the image size for slightly better quality pic

Wah, there's a middle button on the touchpad? Or is it decorative? hehe
The small button on the keyboard is the trackpoint, same as that of ThinkPads, more comfy to use compared to touchpad if you ask me hehe~

Damn the backlid is nice hehe
But then, the design is as you said, quite plain.... or is it because of the photo quality?

Update: when viewed from above, it looks just like those older versions on Dell Inspirons I think hehe.... very conservative... noneed to worried about ppl wanting to steal your laptop

yeah, i don't know what the middle button is for, click but like no effect at all, maybe sifu lee knows. the trackpad is hard to maneuver for me, or am i noob here?

the backlit is nice, but nothing much, a simple laptop only, will try taking a better quality pic, maybe the feel is different

Its been quite some time since I last used a trackpoint haha, but I remembered it being rather nice to use... you won't feel any pain even after prolonged usage
ThinkPads has those kind of design (3 touchpad buttons) iinm, not sure whether they can be used or not haha

I think the backlit is nice leh, especially around the trackpoint haha
Its a business laptop, being simple is normal

if the touchpad also got backlit like aw, then it would be perfect

Should be middle click, see if its got setting on 'mouse' in control panel..

Then it won't be a business laptop liao
