I was thinking of getting a lappie.

Now got headache, after i chk ard wif few of my nephews.

HP Compaq-hardware problems, mobo, display even within wrty period.
Acer-software problems, format hdd few times within 1 yr,
Dell-hardware problems mobo, display prob, occur after 1 yr (after wrty period passed)

I dun mean to be prejudice, but if ccan i need feedback fr other forumer as well.

The highest GPU for the GT500 series is only GT555m...

Laptop for what kind of research?

Your best bet would be Sager, but then I doubt it'll be less than RM3k  sad.gif

In my opinion as I have been using an Acer for the past 4 yrs, I can say that it has absolutely no problems. Unless you count the fan becoming noisier one. And I would recommend the acer timeline X? or perhaps a HP DV4. But this all depends on what use for the laptop you have in mind.

I guess its based on luck again. But i think it would be better to get one wif at least 2 yrs wrty like asus, or perhaps acer timelinex wif 3yrs wrty lagi better, or buy extended wrty. like those acer selling (acer super care or something like tat), Sony also provide extended wrty, but knowing the price for sony lah..

Software problem is caused by the user, you wanna blame Acer for it? doh.gif
NO brand is free of problem, depends on your luck.

hi. i need recommendation please. huhu..

i only use laptop for microsoft office, photoshop, surfing internet. not into game actually. maybe fifa 10 or pes11. only that game i will play.. no crysis 2, no starcraft 2. maybe starcraft 1.. heheh.

which one u think is the most suitable for me? based on my use.

Aspire 4750G, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT 520@RM2199[2.3kg], 3 years local limited warranty

TimelineX 4830TG, i5-2410M + GT540M@RM2499[2.2kg]

asus A43Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M(1GB)@RM2399[2.44kg], [6-cell 4400mAH]

acer 4750g and asus a43sv, how long the battery can run if full charge?? 4-5hours?? i know in battery terms, acer 4830tg will win. but im not into gaming. worth it to take 4830tg??

thanks. sorry for my question

Hi guys,

I am quite interested in the HP Pavilion dv6-6114tx. I saw some of the forumers saying that the Beats headphone is an optional choice. Which means without it the laptop will cost around RM31++. I went to the website and tried all the links, but I can't seem to remove the Beats headphone option. Can anyone help me?

And, if anyone knows anything about the HP Pavilion dv6-6114tx, please let me know because I can't find any good reviews online.

Thanks guys. smile.gif
