anyone here have any idea when is the new dell xps 14 come out?
*
No news on that... its been rather quiet recently, probably because of all the chaos created by them new Alienwares laugh.gif
Anyway, I think we can be sure that it won't be called the XPS 14 anymore... and perhaps the new model will have some influence from the Adamo XPS hmm.gif

hope tat the new one has nice design plus JBL speakers brows.gif  since current 14inch market doesn't have much choices and forces me to wait for new design notebooks..
*
Acer 4830Tg, Asus A43Sv (i5/i7), HP Dv4, MSI FX420, Dell Inspiron 14R... quite a lot of choices I would say haha~ laugh.gif
I have a feeling that the XPS 14 replacement will be a very pleasant surprise, the only problem is when its going to be released sad.gif

HP Dv4 and MSI FX 420 using ATI??
price?? lazy to check from the list... actually busy with work now biggrin.gif
*
The HP Dv4 is the 14" with the best GPU at the moment i.e. AMD HD6750 (same as the one in the HP Dv6, abd should be on par with the GT550M in the Asus N53Sn)
Well, the MSI FX420 doesn't have the best GPU, but its the one of the cheapest SB i5-powered lappy with a dedicated GPU and 3 years warranty (only rival is Acer's 4750G) thumbup.gif

Dell's stuff normally is more expensive compared to others especially higher end laptop(start from XPS)
*
Well, price doesn't matter if it doesn't come out laugh.gif
And I would say that the more expensive price is justified, the quality is good and hence worth it...
Applicable to Fujitsu and Toshiba laptops as well, used them, loved them wub.gif

sifu..

between these two which one would u suggest;
- HP Pavilion G4, i5-2410M + AMD HD6470@RM2349 or Dell Inspiron 14R, i5-2410M + AMD HD6630@RM2349,

or better add some money to get the HP DV4 series..

please advise and thanks..
*
Between these 2, the Dell Inspiron 14R would be better because of the GPU nod.gif
If not, I would choose the Acer 4830Tg or Asus A43Sv (~RM2.4-2.5k)
If you have the budget to go for the DV4, why not? Especially so if you're into gaming nod.gif

Well, that's why we have been saying it's overkill for such a GPU... Playing games in higher resolution as in 1080p? GPU like 540M is only a Class 2 GPU, playing games in 1080P would be killing its limits already, that's why the extra vRam won't really help at all...
*
Is this applicable to the 1.5GB GT555m and 3.0GB GT555m in the Alienware M14x? hmm.gif
Wonder if its worth the extra money notworthy.gif

the alien m14x is niceeeeeeeeee..... drool.gif
*
Think so too~
But based on the most up-to-date article, it seems that many are dissapointed with the steep price of the M14x, with its current pricings, its possible to get cheaper, better and lighter 15 inch gaming laptops laugh.gif
The M11x R3 would offer comparatively better bang-for-buck nod.gif

The price of the Dell XPS Studio 16:

I guess you can sell at around Rm2.5k? Just a guess based on available competition nod.gif

Yeah, like what Lee_what sifu said, Asus just loves to give people headache laugh.gif
Sometimes the price is the same even when the 15" is more powerful, letting people choose between power and portability brows.gif

i just realised that if i get this
vostro 3550 with i3 , 4gb ram , hd6630 and 3 yrs warranty = rm2600
then i also can get
A53Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M (1GB)@RM2599

ffffuuuuuuuuu
*
Why no Vostro 3450?
Imho, 3 years warranties from Dell makes the model worth more despite the slightly lower specs nod.gif
