I've not seen the real thing myself since its still quite new. But based on available pictures from the internet, its basically a Satellite M645 with better texture and of course, better specs (finally!)
It won't feel plastic now. Toshiba has finally come to its sense about making more glossy laptops

Hello guys. Can you all recommend me the best 14" laptop for budget MAX RM1700. So far, I have put my eyes on ASUS X42DE. Any laptop can top that?

Lenovo B470, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM1699
Toshiba Satellite C640-1023U, P6200 + Intel HD@RM1599, W7HP, 2nd & 3rd year warranty

The Acer and Toshiba would be good because of the 3 years warranty

what if FreeDOS? and if there any laptop that have a bit greater price but worth the buy? RM1.8K laptop?

FreeDOS means the laptop doesn't come with an operating system (OS), Windows 7 in this case
Whether you should opt for higher price (better) ones, depends on your needs. What will you be using your laptop for>?
