QUOTE(gto87 @ Apr 16 2011, 08:39 AM)
Guys, im planning on buying a laptop today.
My target is Asus A42JP or lenovo Y560P-Core i7-2630QM 5906-6552-
gonna use it for gaming (mainly COD, Racing games).

1)I'm confused between the GDDR5 Hd 6570 1GB and GDDR3 Hd 6570 2gb. Which one is better. I don't care about gaming in bigger screen so I'm assuming that the former is a better choice?

2)Is there a significant difference if i buy the i7 lappy compare to i5 if i'm only gonna use it for gaming purpose and also playing 1080p movies?
(lenovo - i7-2630QM vs Asus  i5-480M) which is the better choice? ps-the cache memory in i7 is tempting!

3)what about lenovo after sale service.. is it better than HP/Asus?

Hoping you guys can drop your pov here, it certainly will help me decide.. let me know if there's any additional info that i need to know.. Thanks in advance~
*
Asus A42Jp is EOL-ed already, and the specs it offers is rather outdated. As for Lenovo Y560P, you might wana avoid that because of the lack of GPU switching and hence, shorter battery life (in before Trance4eva laugh.gif )
Anyway, what's your budget? Usage? Preferred screen size? hmm.gif

Just wait for the review and then you can buy already biggrin.gif
I think the only problem would be the touchpad, if you can live with it, it'll be worth it thumbup.gif

Thanks for the info notworthy.gif
Looks like a contender for the Asus U41Sv laugh.gif
Edit: Damn its way slimmer than the U41Sv, way, way slimmer! wub.gif
But its running on a 6-cell battery iinm? 9 hours is very impressive thumbup.gif

Can't seem to find review for it though..

Wow it has the fast start feature lets you resume from hibernate in 3 seconds @.@

I thought only the Samsung 9 series with SSD could do that...
*
Yalo, I thought only SSDs can do that? shocking.gif
Hmmm, Asus U41Sv or this one? hehe, need to poison ALexlai sifu liao thumbup.gif

but no time to glance all  brows.gif

comparing N43SL and acer 4830TG (timelinex right?), any pros and cons on both??
*
N43SL has better speakers and doesn't have built-in battery... so its the better choice nod.gif
Design-wise, its hard to say, I still think the Acer looks better laugh.gif

build quality?? want it to last at least 3 years tongue.gif
i know acer can extend warranty by RM198,
how about asus? can extend to 3 years as well?
*
Built quality should be more or less similar... but the battery of the 4830Tg will probably die faster laugh.gif
Yeap, can extend, but at a higher price iinm nod.gif

Not just you, its prevalent in almost all HP laptops, which is why I always say the touchpad (especially the buttons suck)...
anyway, someone bought a HP DM1z as well, posted a simple review here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1831685/+20
