And on the crappy preloaded software
Honestly i got to say Asus is really dumb for putting to much software. To boot up to windows almost took me 3 minutes to startup and thats before i delete any drivers of software. Not only that i just delete some unnesecery software and suddenly....poof my ATK driver and Asus Splendid etc is gone. This is crap man. 1st time stating up the laptop and it takes dam long. I thought Asus is famous for having fast boot up time.
Seriously when you get this laptop, reformat it to factory default and don't think twice like I did. After installing SP1 i lazy wan reformat d.
Oh yea.....there is no DirectX software but full of other crappy software so please rmb to download it from Microsoft.
Anyway im not done reviewing yet as I still have not try it on heavy games, bettery life, temps, etc so stay tune tongue.gif
Hey I have a N53SN too, and it comes with crappy preloaded software.
So isit alright to delete all these? Will it void the warranty?? Rather than restoring to factory settings, I'm thinking of uninstalling them only.
Sorry I'm new to stuff like these. How do I "restore factory settings" to rid of the crappy softwares?

Hey guys, a question:
My games are not stretched to full screen in full screen mode. And I have tried several games such as MapleStory and SDO. There seems to be giant black borders in each side of the screen. I googled for a solution and people asked to go to Nvidia's Control Panel and select the flat panel scaling. Apparently my Nvidia control panel does not have that option. What should I do? I'm a N53SN user too.

farking, go asus website download latest vga driver, then restart com. then right click under graphic properties select advanced mode.
under media, select image scaling. then tick letterbox to widescreen

So must reinstall? Because if I didn't reinstall but straight to the ticking part, it's not working.

EDIT: Reinstalled, still not widescreen after ticking it. what's wrong?

was told that asus has revised downwards the prices of n53sn/v and a53sv by rm200 effective monday, 4/4/11. so the rrp of n53sn and n53sv r now rm3299 and rm2599 respectively. after further discount, the n53sn should be able to get it for between rm3150 and rm3199.

This is almost impossible as N53SN is one of their best selling laptop. I was told that the price will not drop that fast. Especially when it's selling like hot cakes. The price can only change after April since the product guide (March-April) clearly stated the price is RM3499. My opinion- RM200 is too much.

Let's wait and see shall we?

damn Asus notebooks have price dropped. N53SN dropped rm200 to  SRP3299? this is surprisingly fast if only i waited 3 weeks later.

Don't think you're the only victim here haha. At least we get to enjoy it first.

Haha it's just RM200.... I mean sometimes car buyers loss about thousands of ringgit the very next two weeks when the car dropped price. So RM200 ain't much.
