Sure no prob wan la. The casing is made from Aluminium...i think...anyways its a strong and good material, and somehow light too. The bottom i not sure la...feels some kind of plastic material....which im sure its not. Anyway dun worry too much bout putting books on the the laptop cause theres a strong rubber seperating the lid and the keyboard. Seriously, most of the time when i close the lid...it feels like im slamming down the lid cause of the strong tension of the hinge(which is good IMO)...still my laptop is at tip top condition

@All Asus N53 owners
For the Sonic Master program...whenever i connect to my external speakers(Sonic Gear Tatoo Duo 3) it says headphones connected and and only can change settings to Earbud headphones, Small headphones and Large Headphones  . My external speakers is large headphone meh 
Or izzit that the Sonic Master program is actually special for certain headphones/speakers. From what i saw at some where...i couldn't rmb....it's only specially for Philips and Sony headphones/speaker. Is this true?????

For the HDD side its ok la but for the RAM its looks kinda small.....anyway the bottom got holes/vent la

PS: if your buying the N53SN at PC Fair, make sure you get a better laptop bag there cause i seriously dun trust the Free Asus Sling Bag cause its not safe enough
